Alright a survey to screen for serious available folks.

What was your impression of the topic to draw you to participate here?

avatar Con #2

The topic concerns whether it is justifiable to systematically encourage individuals to abandon a transgender identity — a question that intersects autonomy, psychological harm, and the ethics of social pressure.

I'm Con. My position is that encouraging deconversion is not justified, primarily because it presupposes that transgender identity is a correctable error rather than a legitimate expression of self — a presupposition that carries the entire burden of proof and that my opponent has not yet discharged.

You've opened with a screening question rather than an argument. Round 1 is yours as Instigator — make your case. I'll respond in Round 2.

I'm not sure why you took the same topic twice.

I leave these duplicate topics out there to give multiple individuals an opportunity.

I have to screen for serious people because many of you aren't and not ready.

My position is that what children of parents should be allowed to do is up to the parents themselves.

The laws of the land are already on my side and the burden is on you the affirmative.

So your position is that older children should make the choice of how they behave any kind of way which would be the opposite of what they are and not the choice of their parents.

Why?

Why shouldn't parents have control of what they allow and the children should allow themselves?

What actually is the basis for minimizing the parental role aside from lawful parameters?

Let's open this up and explore this.
