Sorry, I didn’t realize it was my turn.
Anyway, taxation is indeed like theft. It’s not exactly like theft, but it does have some similarities, which should be enough. They both involve taking something, and taxation is often against one’s will. Taxation without representation was deemed to be essentially theft by the Colonies.
Here is are my arguments:
- Taxation has some similarities with theft.
- Certain forms of taxation are more like theft.
- Extreme forms of taxation can be the same as theft

Taking something doesn't necessarily mean anything to do with like, the same , etc. to theft nor if it's against somebody's will does it automatically constitutes the same.
This remains unsubstantiated claims but thanks for giving some attempt.
Maybe just stick to subjects you're invested in like religion.
