It's wrong to make anyone a slave!!! Slavery is immoral and unacceptable. No human is greater than another. A human can own things that are worth less than themself, which is why enslavement is wrong. Humans are created equal, which makes enslavement criminal.
So yeah...that's my opening...

custody ain't slavery. Plus... doesn't the 13th amendment say "duly convicted"? You would not be able to enslave someone who you merely think did something that you think is kinda bad. What kind of world is the person on the opposing side living in?

Maybe apprehension is a better term for you.
So a person that is caught in the crime that is not willing to be apprehended , refuses and resists, does the person have to be forced into apprehension?

No, the law will be that bad crimes like that mean you go to jail. If you commit a crime, you already accepted that you would be in custody when you chose to do the criminal activity. It's not slavery at all.

The person did not accept being in custody. That's why the person resisted. You don't resist if you come willingly .
If you don't come willingly, you will be forced. People that are in prison that want to leave have to stay against their will like any slave that has a will to not be enslaved.
You can repaint this picture as a willing party but then the issue is, why do we have to keep handcuffs on like shackles, locked behind walls and gates?
An unwilling person doesn't want to stay imprisoned and people have tried to escape TO FREEDOM. They're not free.
So if you admit they're not free, are they just as not as free as a slave?
Gotta keep the consistency here. You don't realize you're truly supporting freedom taking away from some people which is good.

If they really didn't want to go to jail, they wouldn't have committed the crime in the first place. They committed a crime knowing that it would send them to jail. It's not slavery because it ain't forced on them. They read the law and see what happens when they do bad stuff.
