I like your artstyle.

I was pretty fond of Paint for years, but at some point they did some update that messes with the colors of images, 'really made it difficult for me to use it.

I stopped using paint because it lacks many tools. I realized using it is only a disadvantage, because even apps on my phone, like sketchbook, produced better results. The main issue is lack of symmetry tool, and lack of wide range of pencils, brushes, markers...ect.

I like paint for enabling some basic shapes to be made. Like, it already has triangle, star, circle, curve...ect. and these are what all drawings are made of.

However, other drawing tools have this as well, but also have more.

I only noticed the difference once I actually started using a different program.

The colors, also. In paint, colors aren't as good.

I find rotoscoping pictures of real stuff and people kind of fun,

Though I don't 'generally care for drawing on a computer,

I prefer sketching scribbles in my notebook.

An advantage of computer art though, is how easy it is to store, sort, copy various projects one has.

I dont do animations yet, but probably simplest way to do animation is to focus on only one part moving. For example, only mouth moving while everything else stays same. Easy to do on computer.

I used to not care too, but what I find good about it is the "undo" button which doesnt exist in real life. the idea that I can make a mistake and just undo it in a second is great. Also, adding, then deleting colors only works on computer. In real life, if you are drawing using pencil, its very difficult to remove color from area where you added too much color.

I have plenty of notebooks with countless drawings of symbols. I usually draw in notebook the important symbols I found. I used to draw cartoon too, but mainly by connect the dots method.

there are apps which let you do AR drawing. All you need is phone with camera, and you basically trace lines on paper while looking at phone.

However, the simplest way to draw is by drawing bases first. For example, if you are drawing a character, first draw head shape and body shape, then eyes, then hair. Drawing becomes much easier once you realize what you need to draw first. Because after drawing bases, you can draw anything on them, experiment, go back...ect.

You can also use grid lines, connect the dots method...ect. Connect the dots is very useful to produce symmetry easily when drawing in real notebook. On computer, it usually isnt necessary.

For example, to draw eyes of same size, you just place 4 dots with proper measuring of distance between them, and then connect them with curve lines, not straight lines.

tho not necessary on computer because computer already has symmetry tool. I just find connect the dots most useful in real life drawing. Grid lines methods arent really practical in real life. But bases plus connect the dots are perfect and easy way to make symmetry, and symmetry is crucial.

AI is a lot faster, yeah, but sometimes one wants to have own skill. Also, AI is more random.

I experiment a lot with shapes, colors, and sizes in drawings. I am slowly getting understanding when it comes to drawing.
