Bud Lite and Nike valuation now, compared to even just two years ago, is evidence that woke [either 1 or 2] is DOA.

Both decided to premier woke values as advertsing camapaigns and have discovered, to their chagrin, that woke is not a money-maker. Conservatives buy beer and running shoesd in big numbers; big enough that both companies have lost big value.

One might add Jaguar to that list, which featured a clear diversion to woke advertising in late 2025 with garish models, body movement, 60s psychedelic colors, etc. In April 2025, they sold all of 49 cars, worldwide, compared to over 2,000 in April 2024. They claim that reduction was not due to the woke ad camapign, but a near zero producrion of ICE [internal combustion engine] in favor of development of EV. Well, what says EVs are no woke?

Don't know about bud lite but nike famously moved away from wholesale retailers in hopes to expand DTC, and also got punished by competition like adidas, hoka, new balance etc. "Woke" ads are not known to be the reason for their stock's downslope.

Budweiser has a higher valuation now than 3 years ago (when the woke happened) and Nike has plenty of non-woke challenges to explain their devaluation.

"Nike's challenges reflect a broader set of pressures facing the retail and consumer goods sector. Rising costs, changing consumer habits, inventory missteps and intensifying competition from brands like On and Hoka have all played a role. Meanwhile, China β€” once a crucial engine of growth β€” has become another major headache for the company, with Greater China revenue dropping 12% (5) in the most recent quarter." [Link]

These are not great exemplars of 'go woke, go broke'.

Bud Lite is shite and better value trainers are available.

Even the most gullible catch on eventually.

So a fake assassination attempt caused a surge in Chinese red hat sales despite a 145% tarrif...Such is woke America.

Last time there was a surge in Chinese red hat sales was Trump promoting MAGA with his made in China red hats.

Nike's reliance on direct-to-consumer sales while pulling back from traditional retail partners misread consumer shopping habits, a misstep Nike leadership later acknowledged. However, they also admitted that their leaning on populart social memes [I re3ad "woke" as one of those memes] was also a poor decision, but its effect is less certain to be measureable.

"One of the largest sports and athletic-wear companies of the modern day may be disappointing its namesake.Β Β Nike, the sportswear company named after the Greek goddess of victory, is losing its spot in the top 100 U.S. companies for the first time in nearly two decades. The athletic apparel giantΒ lostover $200 billion in market cap since its all-timeΒ highΒ in 2021, a near 80% drop in just the five years that have passed, and a plummet so severe that the once mighty company is no longer listed on the S&P 100."

Nor did I cite that, though I've seen it, and generally believe it, though "broke," to me, related to woke, is not a monetary poverty. Rather, it is idealistically derelict.

Woke has "killed" more than Nike. It "kills" the hopes and dreams of many who succumb to its nonsense. Corporastions are, legally, "people", yeah?

Americans suffer because Trump is deranged.

Why did Americans vote for Trump twice and narrowly missed a third attempt?

A lot of people vote based on tribalism, he's not a Republican by any stretch of the imagination but he ran as one, so he got those tribal votes. Obama showed us the way to win is get people who normally don't vote to vote, Trump got the White Supremacists to come out in force, that's what put him over the top.

It's either that, or we are trapped in a Fellini movie.

or...it could just be a bad dream, I pray that's it and I'm going to wake up soon.

About a month ago, I ordered a pair of Nike Revolution 8 slip-ons, $75. I returned them because although I did purchase my size [actually went 1/2 size larger] the widest part of my foot is at the base of my toes, and the shoe was too narrow to accomodate that width at the foot entry point. Went another half-size larger, and still too narrow. Several other people had the same complaint. Should have read reviews before buying.

Do you think this error occurred because of "woke values" in their advertising campaigns?

You explained the problem was you not checking reviews before buying.
