I'm not complaining. I said I don't want anything from govt other than infrastructure. How could I possibly as one man do anything about fraudulent and wasteful spending of taxes by govt? I would go strait to prison if I even tried.

Sorry, you dont get to choose. The government chooses what you need and gives it to you, and chooses what you dont need and takes it from you.
Taxes only make sense if you think government is good. If you think government is bad, then paying taxes is same as funding bad guys.

Ya, 60% of all govt spending is barrowed money spent on non legitimate functions of govt. Govt as it is now is bad. As corrupt and wasteful as it can possibly get.

I'm not sure that taxes are theft, any more than the law is forced compliance.

Assumptions learned or innate, on what is right.

I sometimes think for an ideal country, there would be a coming of age ceremony,
Where one either declares an oath of loyalty, or goes their own way.
. . . Ideally there would be somewhere for them to go 'to, but there are people just about everywhere, and humans have a way of duplicating into other humans, when a mass of them are someplace.
Could sterilize people I suppose, before shipping them off to some vast continent, or single island,
But I don't think that's what people would want,
And there's 'always laws, where there are other people, whether they are declared or not.
Natural laws, implicit socially understood laws.

Perhaps lacking various privileges and rights. Though not 'without rights.

Taxation is not theft, because citizens have agreed to pay taxes. This is part of the “social contract,” which is a kind of agreement between citizens and the government, whereby the citizens agree to pay taxes and obey the laws, in return for the government's protection.
But others agree Taxation takes money without voluntary permission, it is morally equivalent to theft, even if it is legally sanctioned.
