For over the past decade the muslims in nigeria have been killing christians, burning down their churches, starving them.

But why? What does islam have to fear from christians? Did they mount an assault against them? Did they try to take over their government? Did christians persecute the muslims in northern nigeria?

No. Far worse, the christians sent evangelists to them to try to turn them to christ. And they FEARED the christian movement of converting the muslims.

The driving force in evolution is to have all stupid people kill each other.

Violent attacks on Christians in Nigeria are driven by a complex mix of factors, including long-standing resource conflicts between farmers and herders, Islamist extremism, socioeconomic issues, and weak governance

. The violence is not a simple religious war, but religion often serves as a motivator, intensifier, and tool for radical groups and individuals.

Nonsensical response to violence that seems pretty one sided in this particular context. And even if it wasn't, extremists tend to target innocent people and not just "each other." Do you have the same flippant attitude about Nazis killing Jews, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Catholics? Or about Stalin putting millions of Orthodox Christians to death? As I'm typing this I'm guessing you'll probably just make another flippant response that implies all religious people deserve to be systematically executed, but maybe you'll surprise me.

Christian exception.

Jesus promised divine protection for his followers, but not in the sense of avoiding hardship, as he prayed for their protection from the evil one and that they would be preserved in God's name. He told his disciples they would face persecution but promised that those who endure to the end would be saved, emphasizing spiritual protection rather than a life free from suffering.

Throughout history, Christianity has been invoked to justify numerous wars, crusades, and violent campaigns—often in stark contradiction to the faith’s central teachings of peace, love, and “turning the other cheek.” From the early medieval period through the modern era, these conflicts have shaped nations, redrawn borders, and left millions dead in their wake.

Yeah, except we were talking about the violent killings of Christians in Nigeria, which you described as "stupid people killing each other" and "the driving force in evolution." Is your position that the crusades and Hitler saying "God Is With Us" justifies mass killings of Christian men, women, and children in Nigeria? Because unless there's some other part of your response I missed, I'm struggling to see what else your argument could be.

Christian is just another club label.

And when we join clubs and start labelling we know the consequences of doing so.

But what it all boils down to is hormones and genetic dominance.

Evolution, as FLRW states.

Though, as long as the genii are protected, our work as the dominant intellectual species will continue...I would suggest, until such times when A.I. assumes control of the evolutionary process.

Of course, there may be other organic intellectuals elsewhere, being similarly stupid and clever, also paving the way for A.I. to the take over.

And of course, the clever thing for Nigerian Christians to do is join the Muslim Club. But then the stupid kicks in.

Let's face it, bobbing up and down on a rug or happy hands and hallelujah, is no big deal.

Its no big deal for you, for you are ignorant of the quran that commands these people to kill or convert. To kill jews and christians, or humilate them through a tax.

Its all well and good to say let them kill each other, until you or your family are on the chopping block.

Don’t forget the Christian crusade against Muslims which lasted for centuries.

Yes, the Crusades were military expeditions by Western Christians primarily against Muslims to reclaim the Holy Land (Palestine) and other Christian territories from Muslim control between the 11th and 13th centuries. While Christianity's objectives included reclaiming holy sites and stopping Muslim expansion, Muslim sources often viewed the Crusades as a wave of Frankish (Western Christian) aggression and an invasion of Islamic lands.

Well, just like the Bible the Quran is an inert book that commands nothing.

Over enthusiastic men with too much testosterone command killing and conversion.

So if you are worried, just convert. Same Melcharez different badge.

But just watch out for Christian or Jewish madmen.

Better still do a double conversion...Three badges...One for every occasion.

So is Jew, or Muslim, or any other label that has led to people being massacred on a wide scale.

Won't always save them necessarily, and many people would die rather than renounce their values. Maybe you would call that "stupid," but I think people shouldn't be forced to convert at gunpoint. Plus, I don't see how it's good for evolution to kill off anyone who won't abandon their values to save themselves. You're just punishing moral consistency.

Nonsense, the Quran does not say those things, you don't know what you are talking about,

One of the most fundamental truths established by the sacred texts is that no one can be compelled to accept Islam. It is the duty of Muslims to establish the proof of Islam to the people so that truth can be made clear from falsehood. After that, whoever wishes to accept Islam may do so and whoever wishes to continue upon unbelief may do so. No one should be threatened or harmed in any way if he does not wish to accept Islam.

"Let there be no compulsion in religion." (The Holy Qur’an, 2:256)

"For you is your religion, and for me is my religion." (The Holy Qur’an, 109:6)

“So if they dispute with you, say ‘I have submitted my whole self to God, and so have those who follow me.’ And say to the People of the Scripture and to the unlearned: ‘Do you also submit yourselves?’ If they do, then they are on right guidance. But if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the Message. And in God’s sight are all of His servants.” (The Holy Quran 3:20)

"If it had been the will of your Lord that all the people of the world should be believers, all the people of the earth would have believed!

Would you then compel mankind against their will to believe?" (The Holy Qur’an, 10:99)

"(O Prophet) proclaim: 'This is the Truth from your Lord. Now let him who will, believe in it, and him who will, deny it.'" (The Holy Qur’an,

18:29)

"If they turn away from thee (O Muhammad) they should know that We have not sent you to be their keeper. Your only duty is to convey My

message." (The Holy Qur’an, 42:48)

Fight against those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth [i.e., Islām] from those who were given the Scripture – [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled. – Saheeh International Surah At-Tawbah Quran 9:29

Quran 4:101

101. And when you (Muslims) travel in the land, there is no sin on you if you shorten your Salat (prayer) if you fear that the disbelievers may attack you, verily, the disbelievers are ever unto you open enemies.

Quran 2:216

216. Fighting* (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.

[TROP Editor's note: I have substituted the word "fighting" for the translators' preference ("Jihad") since the Arabic word used here is from the root qital. "Jihad" is an Arabic word that is not used in this verse.

Quran 4:76

76. Those who believe, fight in the Cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve, fight in the cause of Taghut (Satan, etc.). So fight you against the friends of Shaitan (Satan); Ever feeble indeed is the plot of Shaitan (Satan).

Quran 8:39-41

39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what they do.

40. And if they turn away, then know that Allah is your Maula (Patron, Lord, Protector and Supporter, etc.), (what) an Excellent Maula, and (what) an Excellent Helper!

41. And know that whatever of war-booty that you may gain, verily one-fifth (1/5th) of it is assigned to Allah, and to the Messenger, and to the near relatives [of the Messenger (Muhammad)], (and also) the orphans, Al-Masakin (the poor) and the wayfarer, if you have believed in Allah and in that which We sent down to Our slave (Muhammad) on the Day of criterion (between right and wrong), the Day when the two forces met (the battle of Badr) - And Allah is Able to do all things.

They are encouraged to kill and convert.

The quran has never been a book for peace. Its all about killing and obedience.

The greatest lie the muslim has ever told is that they are a religion of peace.

Mosab hassan yousef

My mother prayed five times a day, quietly, on a little rug. I didn’t kick her out. That was her space. I let it be.

But the same book she whispers to also says: “Crush the infidel.” Allah “misleads whom He wills” (Quran 7:178). That’s not devotion. It’s a countdown.

My father signed a fatwa: Kill me if I leave. Not some stranger. Not ISIS. My dad. That’s the default setting.

Right now, five miles away, an imam recites Quran 9:29: “Fight them until they pay the jizya in humiliation.” Then he winks—“misunderstood.” It isn’t. He’s selling skimmed milk. Here’s the real list, no edits:

• Steal? Your right hand is chopped off. Quran 5:38.

• Adultery? Married ones are stoned alive. Bukhari 6.60.79.

• Gay? Throw them from a roof, then stone the fall. Abu Dawud 4462.

• Leave Islam? One quick neck slice. Bukhari 9.84.57.

• Believe Jesus is God? Eternal fire, no escape. Quran 4:48.

• Rob a caravan? Amputate opposite limbs, crucify the body. Muslim 17.4194.None of that is optional.

None of it is rare. It’s policy.Jihad isn’t an inner struggle. It’s “strike their necks” (Quran 8:12).

Paradise? It’s “under the shade of swords” (Muslim 8.3322).Sufis spin. Salafis shoot. Same verse, same aim: Until there is no god but Allah. So when a coworker says, “We just want to coexist,” ask: On whose map? The Quran doesn’t rent space. One caliph. One law. One god. Everything else is overtime—pay jizya or pick a blade.

Real faith makes you lighter. Renounce. Surrender. Breathe. Islam loads you down: Convert, conquer, collect. I tried to drop the weight.

They called it apostasy. I tried to walk away. They loaded rounds.I’m not mad at prayer. I’m mad at the salesman version—the lie that “moderate” is a flavor. It isn’t.If you’re Muslim, own the stoning. Own the amputations. Own the hellfire line for every non-Muslim on earth. If you won’t, don’t hide behind the word. You’re not moderate. You’re awake.

I would suggest that moral consistency is as unachievable as human consistency is.

Humans go out of their way to be separate and different.

If the human race was mono-theistic, it would undoubtedly find something else to squabble about.

Stupid stuff like national, tribal or racial culture for example...Forgetting that we are all stranded together, here on this tiny speck of cosmic dust.

Morality is a variable concept as are religious values as are cultural differences.

Reality is survival, sex and material progress, and despite a history of constant bickering, material progress continues apace.

So perhaps everything is as it should be.

Or perhaps everything is pointless.

Who knows?

What is Islam's view on AI?

Islam is a religion that accepts all forms of technological progress, including advances in artificial intelligence. However, in the development of technology, Muslims are required to adapt to anticipate the negative or positive impacts that exist.

Edit post

@Debby

There are shiekh who consider certain things of ai to be haram. But ultimately it has to do with what you use it for, how long you use it for.

Potentially ai can encourage or bring up every thing that is haram.

Several prominent scholars have weighed in on AI’s compatibility with Islamic principles. Dr. Alwani, a scholar of Islamic ethics, posits that AI can be considered halal if developed and used within ethical boundaries that comply with Sharia law. He emphasizes transparency, fairness, and the avoidance of bias in AI algorithms. Similarly, Sheikh Qaradawi stresses that AI applications must respect human dignity and privacy to be deemed permissible. These scholars underline the need for AI systems to avoid decisions that cause harm. For instance, any AI application requiring autonomous lethal decisions in warfare would be considered haram. By contrast, AI applications that enhance healthcare, education, or financial inclusivity garner positive views if they operate ethically and improve human welfare.

Islam was invented in the latter half of the first millennium chiefly as an Arabic alternative to the Christian idea of theo-political power and westward spreading population control. As such, the Abrahamic world split into two major power bases.

Notwithstanding the benefits of social stability in regard to material development, the yang of the matter is global disharmony.

@SergeantLynch

Yes, Islam's spread and tenets have historically reduced Christian influence in certain regions, particularly where they have coexisted, and demographic projections suggest it will continue to do so globally. Islam's different beliefs about Jesus, its own cultural and political expansion, and higher birth rates in some Muslim-majority countries contribute to this trend.
