President Trump is now the most frequently targeted president in the history of the United States. That is not a stat to be proud to document. The rhetoric of some Democrats is obviously inspiring whackos to act on impulse, justifying only that some people have absolutely no control of themselves, willing to let others trigger them. That, as well, is a sad stat. It points to, on one respect, the asinine idea of gun control, because it is obvious that the first result of that legal, statutory effort is that only whackos will end up with guns to use. Tell me how that improves our society?

Second, the vocal Democrats inspiring would-be assassins need to settle down and do their hired, elected job, like passing reasonable legislation, instead of targeting others in government with whom they disagree.

What is threatening to Democracy much more than MAGA is alleged to be is Democrat or Republican rhetoric that is not aimed at achieving "a more perfect union."

So your proposal is what? Ban free speech?

@fauxlaw

I think it's 'Trumps actions and words, not words from Democrats that have caused many of the assassination attempts.

Oh? You mean like words spoken in late 2014 by Trump, before he issued public notice that he was thinking of running, because the rhetoric of some Dems arguing against Trump began, then, in 2014. Hint: he was not the president, and not even a candidate, therefore, his freedom of speech allowance was being violated. And then there's the WaPo article published the morning of Trump's inauguration, 2017, announcing his "Impeachment had begun" when all the president had done or said that morning as President was to walk down Pennsylvania Avenue hand-in-hand with his wife after inauguration. Tell me what "high crimes and misdemeanors" were committed, according to WaPo?

I don't think being criticized by politicians as a person unfit for the office of president, is a violation of a person's freedom of speech.

(Shrug) Trump has been impeached for a 'lot of things he's done.

What actions and words exactly justifies assassinations?

Really curious to hear this one.

Preferably, some examples from your observations alone, and not copied and pasted from a Democrat party or Iranian propaganda outlet.

Very curious about this.

My proopsal is that crass-mouth Democrats shut their fucking mouths, because it is not in the effort to make "a more perfect union," but to sew sufficient discord to encourage whackos to target Trump. Trouble is, the Democrat effort to ban guns is affecting their sycophant whackos' aim. Democrats encourage people who haven't a fuckoing clue how to use their weapons. They keep missing their target. You would think Democrats would either choose better-skilled people, educated in those superior blue states, or do it themselves. Just what the fuck do they want?

Apologies for my rare profanity, but I'm royally pissed. Enough is enough.

Well, people attempting to assassinate Hitler, were justified in my view.

One, The crime of the Holocaust.

Two, His incompetence in war.

I've not said anyone yet has been 'justified in attempting to assassinate Trump.

I just think it's been 'Trumps actions, that have fueled some people's hatred of him, 'more than anyone else's words.

As I read the constitutional qualifications to fill the Office of the President [Article II, Section 1, clause 5] which qual, exactly, is Trump failing to meet? Pls specify. It's not that complicated of a list. And, it's in English, so that should not be misunderstood.

And yes, Biden met them, too, but failed at just about every expectation of the following sections pf Article II while "serving." Now, if you want to question Trump's performance, speak to that, but he met the constitutional qualifications to be elected, thank you.

Someone can meet the 'legal requirements, but still be considered subpar or harmful fit for the job.

I think Biden was a bad fit as well, biggest reason for being his age.

Ok, those are some good examples of the words and actions of a 137-year-old dead man's actions justifying assassination.

How about the 79 year old current resident of the White House?

What are his words and actions that warrant assassination?

You also claim that Democrat words do not justify assassinations, yet many Democrats have the opinion that Trump is worse than Hitler.

I think it's 'Trumps actions and words, not words from Democrats that have caused many of the assassination attempts.

Where is that idea coming from exactly to justify political assassinations? I have never heard Trump call himself "worse than Hitler..."

I can't think of any reason 'I consider a good enough reason to kill Trump,

But I'm not other people,

For some people in the old west, 'spitting was reason enough for 'some people to shoot another.

. . . Or even in some of the worse places in the world today.

Doesn't mean I think it's justified,

But a person 'can still be saying a lot of carp, that get's people wanting to kill them.

Iranians for instance, one would not be surprised by them wanting to assassinate Trump.

Probably 'backfire on them I think.

But we are talking about people's actions 'causing others to want to assassinate them, not whether the might be assassins are justified.

Maybe we should remove the people who think political assassinations for spitting, or close to those reasons, from the USA before America becomes like an African country?

Doesn't mean I think it's justified,

Maybe we shouldn't say "Trump caused it" then. Victim blaming gets lots of social media clicks, but it's not good for society.

I have never heard Trump call himself "worse than Hitler..." and people who carry out assassinations would certainly use that as a "justification."

Put the robber in jail yeah, but my actions would have had 'something to do with the outcome.

Age may contribute, but is not direct and singular cause of dementia [progressive decline of mental ability], else everyone who is in excess of [what age is it when dementia occurs? [and what age is that?] I ask, because I happened to be in Delaware from April to mid-August in 1973 when Biden first entered the Senate, and endured many reported instances, and observed for myself live, in person, at a couple of his live speaking engagements in Wilmington, the dementia of Joe Biden at 30 years of age. My conclusion, then, at 24: this guy is whacked up the side of the head. Essentially harmless, because I considered he would have no significant role. I never thought he did, even as of 2021.

You don't think speech is already legally restricted?

I think personal restriction is n necessary when what is said just isn't true, such as referring to Trump's :"crimes" when the only con fiction he has is on hold, and is likely to be vacated. And he has never been charged with either pedophelia or rape, but is alleged to have committed both crimes. That needs to stop.

I agree, if Trump called himself "worse than Hitler" then you could certainly blame him for radicalizing people and justifying assassinations.

But he NEVER did that. Did he?

The people who DID radicalize assassins with that kind of political rhetoric were like the SS Officers. They had clean hands by making subordinates do the dirty work.

Thankfully, the Nuremberg trials didn't have free speech laws to protect those who radicalized people to kill the Jews with extreme rhetoric.

Or you could stick to your guns and say that "some" of the Jews were asking for that political rhetoric from SS officers.

If political assassinations are justified some of the time, they can eventually be justified all of the time at some point.

I don't make criticizing Trump a major part of my personality.

But I've vaguely head that a number of people were pretty upset about,

I get that, and Germans were upset about a lot of things the Jews said. Doesn't mean we encourage or excuse that kind of rhetoric.

Or say something as outrageous as "some" victims should be blamed.

The 1st amendment only protects a society of decency.

Not a society of assassins. Assassins and their accomplices with assassin rhetoric shouldn't be excused or protected.

Of course they are, I don't know about this latest guy, but on the first two assassination attempts, the first assassin (Butler PA) was a registered Republican, the second was registered as Unaffiliated. No Democrats involved.

The Trump echo chamber is all about divisiveness, manufactured outrage, and violence, he made this bed that he now has to sleep in.

Sure, Trump basically wrote the manifesto of the assassin, and not evil people manufacturing outrage.

I heard those same manufacturers of hate saying Pretti and Good were assassinated by Trump's ICE for exercising their 1st amendment.

By that logic, El Trumpo is wrongly being a king for arresting the assassin who was peacefully using a gun for "free speech."

At least Canadians and the UK have access to the drugs that make them not care about outrage, manufactured or not.

No, Trump is head of a white supremacist movement called MAGA, he promised them he would use his own personal justice department to go after their enemies, SPLC is the primary enemy of white supremacists and is therefore under attack as promised.

President Trump is now the most frequently targeted president in the history of the United States.

Might be that assassination attempts are getting more widely documented, or that security is doing more poorly than usual and letting more attempts get further. Ford survived two assassination attempts, and news media didn't get ahold of information as quickly in the past, so there may have been more attempts on past presidents we didn't hear about.

Yes, he's set yet another Presidential record, adding most assassination attempts to most felonies, most impeachments, most insurrections, most lies, most sexual assaults, most corrupt, most unconstitutional, I think he's going for gold in the decathlon of terrible Presidents, just two more firsts and he will be the US GOAT of terrible Presidents.

He's already been inducted into the Hall of Shame of Horrible Leaders, proudly standing alongside other inductees like Adolf Hitler, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot Joseph Stalin, King Leopold II, Genghis Khan, Timur / Tamerlane, Francisco Solano López. Ivan the Terrible, and Saddam Hussein

I'm sure that you and his other MAGA minions are proud.

Trump has been an inspiration to evil everywhere.
