DebateCraft Hall of Fame?

I definitely think we should continue the Hall of Fame. I'm ok with either carrying it over or starting a brand new hall of fame.

I feel like we can engage a vote on this for the future. I don't think it's that big of a deal and am fine with either but I think a lot of people likely have some strong opinions about this

Maybe this could be one of our first MEEP topics. I'd like to do a HOF at least once every 6 months to a year. But before we start thinking about that let's start building up quality content.

I think we need to at least wait a year before the HoF even is elected, but having the process down never hurts. I think we can have a massive sitewide vote

Please note, that in homage to the rebranding of the DebateArt community, some of us have also rebranded.

So I would suggest a wholly new hall of fame.

This will have it’s on own hall of fame to clarify but there will be hof history on the on the hof thread

An idea I’ve had before is a supplemental list of best debates by subject.

While the HoF is a fun tradition, containing some amazing entries, it being about popularity has also lead to some subpar entries.

If a new user were browsing the site and looked at the HoF thread, I’d rather they see a periodically updated curated list at the start of it, which assures we have our best foot forward.

To such ends, I believe the HoF thread should be organized with the following posts:

1. Introduction
2. Index
3. Best Debates
4. More HoF Information (to avoid spelling it out in each post that follows)
5. HoF History (basic summary, and a link to the archive)
6. HoF posts…

I think this is a great index for new people. I think we could potentially update HOF write ups too for historical entries too
