restructure tests for topics and voting

The state of tests offer a very easy 5 question with 4 answer method. This however can be simply retook over and over and cause the person who passed to forget what they learned.


I suggest adding a total of 15-25 questions with multiple points, and introduce broader applications to the standards and rules. Have the missed answers explain why the answers are wrong and define them for less experienced people.


Screenshots can be done regardless, but repetition helps people to absorb information. Maybe have it to be redone monthly.

I think redoing it monthly would be an absolute overkill. I would say that if they got more than 3 votes removed in a 30 day period they would need to retake the tests.

Ok. So go to profile, click on badges. It will show tests to vote on debates and to form debate topics. Basically i wanted to extend questions so people dont just guess randomly, then use process of elimination to figure out answers.

Like they have to legit read the vote rubric and answer questions.

I know adding 15-25 questions wont prevent this, as a person can just write down what answers they got right and continue process of elimination, but i encourage more so it would be more thorough and harder to do so.

Hopefully to get people to read voting rubric and understand it.


That way a person can look at a vote and determine if it meets guidelines or not. And if it does not, the vote can be reported.

Well on a site such as DebateCraft voting will always be a tad arbitrary and quite possibly a tad biased.


And by a tad biased, I mean biased in favour of either viewpoint or allegiances, or both.


I'm not sure that rules will make a lot of difference in this regard.


And making voting a more convoluted process will only further deter people from voting.


I would suggest that it might be better to simplify the voting process, to attract more interest.


Ultimately on such a remote medium, a participants opinions can only ever be taken at face value.
