Remove win,lose or tie votes from FF

The easiest way to do this is add 4th option. Forfeit, to voting.

Are you suggesting an auto-win feature where if one side forfeits all rounds, the other side wins to make things simpler?

Forfeiture is capitulation is losing.

So what happens if the instigator gives an argument so strong that it scares the other side into forfeiting? Or the other side thinks "a forfeit won't count as a win for them, so at least I can deny them a win."

What if you know you are going to lose and decide to forfeit?

Don't know about DDO; I was never on that site, but DART had specific rules regarding forfeitures and most of your opinions disagreed with them. There is no dishonor in providing argument in a debate in which the opponent forfeits according to those rules and deserves the win. If both forefeit, no one should win, but that depends on voters, some of whom [certainly not the majority as you claim] should notify a mod to review a vote for a debater who did not argue, but did not forfeit, either, to review the vote. It is not automatic by a mod; they depend on our review of debates as members who vote. But why are you so concerned about a feature of the site in which you do not participate?

Simple. If a person repeatedly forfeits you dont allow them to debate. Like 3 times in a row. Then let them make an appeal process, or just not allow them.
