Apologies if these Code of Conduct surveys are getting annoying, but mods were kind of at an impasse with some edge cases and we didn't want to be tyrannical by deciding everything without user input. Vote here to make your voice heard. Issues include how to address repeated misgendering, hate speech, and harassment.

I didn't really like the framing of the poll questions. There are some principles that stand regardless of the esoteric conditional framings, such as: one of the questions describes a specific behavior toward someone who has that person blocked. That's straight-up harassment regardless of the framing or specifics. Another describes glorifying sexual violence. The specifics don't matter to the main objection of glorifying violence in general.... anyway i'll stop there because I don't want to bias the responses you get from your poll, but I simply ask that you word it in a more utilitarian way.
I worded it based on specific things the other mods were proposing or had disagreements over. At a certain point, interpreting where a broad principle begins and ends becomes too subjective and so we just have people vote on edge cases.
Fine, I suppose I am just nitpicking on things that just seem obvious to me.
I agree that broad principles might be the efficient way to do this, I just don't trust us to be wise enough to apply those principles perfectly. So we pass the buck to all of you.
I thought both issues of these two surveys amount to deplorable conduct and was mostly severe in my assessment of committing both actions on this site

Wait, the hosting site has its own code of conduct which is not up to us. I have voted no ban on pretty much everything in this survey. But if that ends up being popular vote as well, we might have issues with host domain. I actually didnt consider this before. I mean, it should probably be fine as long as no one goes too extreme with their posts, or at least extreme posts arent clearly visible, which is why I voted to hide those posts as offensive. If offensive posts are hidden, it should be less of an issue, not that we can truly hide anything from domain host, but it depends on how much they check. If they shut us down, we can find another domain, which hopefully isnt retarded enough to shut down site for misgendering or insults. I agree debates about holocaust are really pushing the line tho. I didnt vote for a ban there, but yeah, I think if that gets any popular on site, domain will shut us down and we will have to find another domain. I dont like that we are put in position where we have to choose between free speech and survival of site. I mean, site will survive on another domain anyway, but current domain has terms of service which I am afraid our code of conduct cannot uphold if users start behaving as bad as code of conduct allows them.
I agree there should be a code of conduct, but we cannot deny history, public sentiments and human behaviour that shapes it. Biases are deeply hard-wired into human cognition as a survival mechanism and a product of lifetime conditioning.
