Discord is boomin' but DC itself is relatively slow save for a few active users. I think part of it is just the appeal of fast chatting. A chatbox on DC could attract some more activity that could spill over into threads and broaden the active user pool.
Obviously Savant is a busy dude and this wouldn't be just a quick bit of code to write out, but wondering if the up-tops would consider it.

Yes, we need a live chat. It has to happen, it became obvious its much superior to drive activity.
It also must show who is typing, who is online...ect. It must be like discord chat. Right now, I have no idea who is even online on this site.
Coding it should be easy. Just use Claude AI to code it quickly. Claude is good at coding. I think Savant already said he uses some AI to code faster.
I'll give it a shot. I kinda figured up till now that if fast chat was the issue, our Discord would have a lot of people who weren't on the site. But maybe it will help. Now that I think about it, being able to customize it would allow me to add cool features Discord doesn't have.

I'd figure the difference is that Discord is an App, of the sort many people tend to keep perpetually open.
Having to refresh a Webpage, doesn't 'seem that big of an inconvenience to me.
We could just label one of the threads the 'main talk thread.
DebateCraft requiring an Internet Tab, 'could also be a slight inconvenience to people, which again, Discord doesn't have that problem 'so much I 'think. Since it is mostly 'just chatrooms?
But maybe 'slight inconvenience becomes noticeable, when one has to refresh page 20 or 100 times in a conversation.
