I never really understood people who keep defending bad parents. Bad parents are main reason why next generation becomes worse.

But because we live in world where 95% of people are retarded, and the remaining 5% dont have any real power, we end up with result where world is ran by retards and future generations are raised by mentally ill population.

When you see some retarded person punching himself, that is actually the image of entire world as it is now.

But people who dont have smart brains cant figure out causation process where:

Person X does A, A causes B, B causes C, C causes harm to person X.

Because people with small brains are only capable of seeing most obvious, and completely incapable of seeing any wide distance causation chain, these people are like retards who punch themselves using wide distance causation chain, and then wondering why they were punched.

Wide distance causation chain is actually impossible to comprehend for most people, because most people cant think further than "A causes B".

What is worse, most people cant even properly understand causes and causation.

this is why they dont make being a bad parent a bigger crime, because their brains arent capable of understanding that most of problems for future generations come from bad parents.

But without understanding wide distance chains, they cannot make the connection of "bad parents = biggest cause of problems in society".

Because wide distance causation chain happens over decades, it does not happen in time short enough for stupid person to comprehend or remember.

So one of biggest causes for all evil in society is somehow treated as a less serious crime, and in many cases not even a crime at all.

Size matters

When I had a brain scan as a kid, they said my brain is bigger than in average male. My head is also bigger than average, despite all the sleep deprivation which I experienced as a kid due to flawed school system and having to wake up at 7 in morning.

Currently I sleep for 12 hours a day to make up for all the previous sleep deprivation.

Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease, maybe.

For example, some people 'really don't think highly of the foster system. Or families getting split up by such.

Depends on the 'degree of being a bad parent I suppose.

. . .

Might be that intervening is often expensive or inefficient (I'm guessing)

Or maybe 'used to be moreso.

Society has advanced 'quickly in a lot of our recent technology, cameras, phones.

. . Lot of changes in society too, women's rights, abolishment of slavery (Mostly and in many places)

. . .

Course one might still ask why not even in the ancient world, ought being a bad parent not be a crime?

Maybe it was, I'm not a historian on the history of children.

The 'family unit, has been pretty useful, pretty functional, in history, I assume.

Whether small village life, or large empire nation.

Effective at creating people, managing wealth and property.

We humans often value family, well, 'our family.

We have often expected others to respect our families right to each other, as we respect 'their families right to each other.

To a 'degree.

(Shrug) My Dad had a bad childhood, worse than mine.

Though that's more of after the fact, my not being hung up on some of his parenting methods, which honestly were not that bad comparative to worse fathers.

'During the fact, well, lot of bad parents are a bit subtle about it.

And 'bad is vague, or a light scale at times.

. . . I'm unsure how much bad parents do or don't realize the effects of bad parenting. My guess is that it is often not so obvious to them. They got treated rough, and they turned out fine, they think.

Common sense often has the benefit of hindsight.

I often wonder what the world 'is like.

95% of the people being retarded 'sounds a bit high of an estimate.

. . . Lot of people 'really. . Well, in America, 'really don't like giving the government too much control over how they raise their kids I think.

And I'd say for good reason.

Public Education for one, often pushes nonsense narratives that one doesn't agree with. Either side of the aisle.

I bet that's what why you confuse your dream world with the real world.

Nothing is worse than bad parenting which produces most of problems in society.

While exact way how to deal with bad parenting is questionable, the main issue is that society isnt dealing with it much at all, but even justifying more of bad parenting, and doing more of bad parenting.

Actually, before government took control, US parents were marrying their kids at age 9, and child labor was everywhere.

So yes, the only people who argue for full parent freedom are those who didnt read what happened in 1750 to 1900 when parent freedom was greater.

What is to stop the government from making low age marriage legal, or child labor legal?

Both 'have been legalized by the government in the past, and maybe in some parts of the world currently.

I don't like giving government an inch, sometimes.

"Marriage" SatanLucy. . . Procreation, has arguably been 'very different throughout history.

Before changes in society and medicine.

Kids used to die a 'lot,

Women used to have less rights,

Wars used to be much more common,

I'm guessing that marriage at a younger age 'had forces driving it's existence.

"Work -SatanLucy",

Again tech and society has changed a lot.

When Native Americans might scalp your whole family on the frontier, much was expected of 'everyone, no matter their age.

Or when colonizers might attempt to murder your Native American village. Either way.

. . . Banks have not always been so safe or so common,

Families have often been isolated, no easy cars, high reliance and expectation on all people, maybe.

A quarter used to buy more, perhaps,

But what we could buy was also 'smaller, before the modern world.

the only ones who can stop those are the government. Parents, when left on their own, practice child abuse, child labor, and child marriage.

I think a 'degree of government is not bad, but it's a balancing act.

Parents by default abuse children. that is just how it is. Government can either stop it or let it happen, and letting it happen ruins society in long run. We see in all countries that any area open for abuse will be abused. In Japan, parents abuse kids by too much focus on studying, effectively ruining their mental health and social skills. Because any area left unprotected will be attacked.

Where do you get your statistics on how often kids are abused by their parents?

I can only speak on it anecdotally.

And my observations say it's not 'that bad.

In order to understand statistics, you must first understand what counts as abuse, its consequences, and then make statistics.

Because statistics on abuse are mostly self-report surveys, but we see that plenty of people self-report negative things about their parents when asked about it.

For example, in Japan, a lot of people will say their parents are strict on education.

Yes, many Japanese parents are strict regarding education

, largely due to high-stakes entrance exams and a cultural emphasis on discipline and conformity. Parents are often heavily involved in monitoring academic progress and often send their children to cram schools (juku) to prepare for competitive high school and university admissions.

Key Aspects of Strictness in Japan's Education:

  1. Entrance Exam Pressure: The competition for top schools is intense, causing parents to start academic preparation early.
  2. Cram School (Juku): Parents often send children to after-school, evening classes to ensure they keep up or get ahead, as noted in a Reddit post.
  3. Discipline and Conformity: Parents teach children to show respect and conform to rules, aligning with the mindset that "the nail that sticks out gets hammered down".
  4. High Expectations: Strictness often focuses on developing a "strong and tough mind" to handle setbacks, according to a Quora post.
  5. School Rules: Schools themselves are strict, enforcing codes for hair, dress, and behavior, often supported by parents, according to a Reddit post and a smapse.com article

the result of this overfocus on education are failing social skills and highest suicide rates in the world.

As I said, any area where abuse is allowed is where abuse will happen. And days with highest number of suicides among kids in Japan are days before school starts.

Nazi Germany had the Hitler Youth,

"By December 1936, Hitler Youth membership had reached over five million.[19] That same month, membership became mandatory for Aryans under the Gesetz ΓΌber die Hitlerjugend (Hitler Youth Law)"

Yeah, some governments abuse their power. But as I said, the only one capable of stopping abuse is also government.

I think a lot of people don't want to live in a country where the government is given too much power to decide how their children should be treated or taught.

A number of Anti Theists would consider religious households abuse,

And vice versa some Theist societies against other religions or Atheism.

(Shrug) Course, some people would 'like government to more closely regulate the children in their society.

So long as 'they have the power.

"Bad parent" is used so subjectively as, in popular usage, to include merely mediocre parents, or even good parents who their adult children just happened to disagree in hindsight with the parenting methods of. Anywhere that sets the bar for parenthood (re: excludes those from the option unable to meet it) that high ends up like the West, which is hemorrhaging people and has to import foreigners to stay afloat. We cannot afford to be more than a little picky when it comes to this subject.

@bubbatheclown

Being a bad parent isnt really anything subjective.

After my parents circumcised me with circumcision gone wrong because they let some retarded cheap female doctor do it, dad left never to come back again, the mother kept being physically and verbally abusive, even when she learned that babysitter was physically abusing me, she did nothing to even change the babysitter. And then likewise in school, when I was being abused by teacher, parent was aware and did nothing. Also, watched me get beaten up and did nothing.

Well, the list actually goes on, but the point is that while you might say that all is just subjective, you are merely destroying your own moral position as well, if everything is subjective then everything is good and then society punishing parents it finds subjectively bad is okay too.

Why do you behave like a girl. Is it because you like being abused?
