I'm getting old and I feel like I need to settle down with a partner. I used to be a fkboy all my life, more or less like Bill Clinton and Donald Trump together, which means I used to date girls just for a one-night-stand and also used to be with a sht lot of escorts, much more the last because it's less risky in terms of health. So, now I want to hang up gloves and date a woman to have a long-term relationship because I think all this fun have to finish sooner or later.

I was thinking about dating a woman the same age as me (I am 42) but to be honest I don't like what there is in the "love market". Most of them are disgusting. I have the Leonardo di Caprio syndrome, I like young women so much, the problem is that I'm not as handsome and rich as Leo, I'm average. So, surfing a bit on the internet, I came across a cool dating rule called "half your age plus 7" which only applies to men because only men can date young women, it's a natural behavior. According to this rule, the youngest woman that I can date should be 28 (42/2 + 7). This rule gurantees that I'm going to have a good relationship with any girl that is at least 28. 28 is close to the MILF zone, but I think it's enough to get bricked.

Do you think this rule works?

You should date a woman your own age (42). It's the answer to life, the universe, and everything.

Who says that? You?

Come on, man. You may like young girls too.

Besides, a 28 yo woman is already mature so I am not going to have any problem to get along with a woman of that age.

I see successful marriages of your proposed age spread, and more, but I wouldn't discount closer to stour age, either. I've been married to my bride for 52 years; we are 377 days apart by birth; I am the older. More important than age, I think, is compatibility of interests, along with some differences that are still compatible. There is, for example, many artistic interested we share, and those not shared are mutually agreeable and compatible. Religion is the same. Moral behavior is the same. I'm west coast, she's east coast. We share love of cooking. Her forte is baked goods, primarily bread and pastries; mine is meats and deserts. She'll tell me flatly she doesn't like a shirt I've purchased, but even if I don't like some clothing she purchased, I tell her I like it, because I've learned she has a critical eye, and chooses carefully. It's usually a matter of color, not style, and she's adventurous that way.

What do you mean by "get bricked", I googled the term but what I found didn't really fit your sentence.

If you see a woman that looks good and is 28, then think about what she will be in 20 years. If you would reject her when she's older by 20 years, then don't date her now.

I mean the woman that I'm going to date should be enough beautiful to make me have a hard lasting erection, like a red hot iron.

Well, maybe you can give some insights about a relationship, taking advantage of your ultra very long experience.

I think sex is non negotiable in a relationship. If you don't like your partner, physically, and don't get you aroused, then it's a waste of time. Don't you think so?

I like sex but I also like to share my time with a person. If there is no sex, it's just like having a good friend which is not the point because we all have friends around all the time.

28 is a good age for a woman, it's still appetizing. I guess if she gets older she will get less attractive but at least I would be so used to her that I wouldn't care. How did you do with that detail? How was the sex with your wife along the way?

There is a very old advice that says that if you want to know how a woman will look in 20 years, you just have to see her mother. There are women that age well.

Fair, but I want young women energy and vibes even when she's 65.

If you like her mothers looks, you already have found a woman about your age and the younger woman will not be necessary.

I dont like relationships because women are boring to talk to. And they do get ugly as they age. 28 year old might look fine now, in about 25 years she will probably look like some old witch from cartoon. Average woman at age 50 is so ugly, its only for men who have no standards.

Your #9:

Yes, in my experience, sexual relations is a necessary, mutually rewarding activity in which we still engage. Not as frequently as it was, once, but enough to be also mutually satisfying. I love her more today than on day one, and the fact that her hair is white instead of brunette, and that there are a few wrinkles we both have is no retraction. I do not discount that relative age makes a huge difference as long as both partners agree on undsestranding that difference in age does mean that activity for the older pruner will slow to a degree, and that more than sex is going to have to carry the load of continued compatibility.

Well it doesn't make much sense out of context, but there's a sci-fi comedy book where a supercomputer is told to calculate the answer to life, the universe, and everything. And it's 42. And because that doesn't make much sense, they have to figure out what the actual question is that 42 is the answer to.

Congratulations. There are few people that can brag about it. It reminds of that memorable scene in Titanic where an elderly couple are lying in their bed embracing together while the ship sinks. Most elderly couples are fighting one another.

That's a depressing reason to get married - because you're ready for the fun to be over. Don't you want to have a fun marriage?

I don't think the half-your-age+7 rule makes a lot of sense. Imagine if you had a daughter who was 20 years younger than you. When you're 40, she's 20, and your minimum age is 27. But when you're 60, and your daughter is 40, your minimum age would be 37, which is younger than your daughter. That's weird.

I think a better thumb rule (the one I use) is that your boo should be closer to your age than to your daughter's age. If you don't have a daughter, just imagine you had a daughter when you were 25 years old, and use that as your guide.

My dad used to tell me I should meet her mom because that's a good indication of what she will look like when she's her mom's age.

Well, yes, I want to have fun but in other way. Life is not all about sex, that's why I want to change the sex fun to a companionship fun.
