I grew up in Brentwood, a suburb of L.A., in the same neighborhood and just around the corner from our house, where, after after or before they married [I don't recall which] Roman and Sharon either purchased or rented the home wherever Sharon and her unborn we're slaughtered. I was acquainted with many Hollowood types, behind and in front of the camera, who lived in Brentwood. It was an upscale town. What can I say; this was my childhood and adolescence. To me, they we're ordinary people who happened to work in a different industry than many do.

I don't know how old you were in '69, but do you remember the murders? It must have been a huge deal for the neighborhood.

A very good summary. I agree, completely, but I have not lived there since end of December, 1968.

I turned 19 in September 1968, and on 1/1/1969, arrived in France for a two-year sojourn. Sharon was killed later that year, and I read about the Manson murders the day after it happened from a newspaper article, without much detail until several days later.

That is all in the past.
