I've just come across a survey on youtube asking whether people believe in aliens or not, and based on around 2.5k responses, 60% of respondents answered yes. For the ones who know a bit of statistics, this result can be extrapolated to a higher population, so we can say 60% of the population worldwide believe in aliens or the existence of extraterrestrial life.

Well, I'm really happy to find out that a great majority of people around the world believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life, because 60% is already a majority (more than 50%). That amazed me because a decade ago this percentage was very low, people were really skeptical, but now this number even overpasses any religious affiliation. So, it's a rising trend.

I wonder what stop these skeptical people from accepting the existence of extraterrestrial life. There are logical arguments, evidence, and plenty of testimonies. It's just a matter of sorting out the puzzle. I really don't understand these people. Maybe they are lazy and don't like to think.

Depends on the question put to people, maybe,

Maybe some people believe in aliens, but doubt they have visited Earth.

Notwithstanding that Youtube might attract a certain demographic.

One shouldn't be surprised to learn that a majority of folk are happy to run with the idea of an inhabited Universe.

It's sort of a statistically logical expectation.

It was a simple and clear question: if aliens exist. It was a survey in spanish so what we understand as 'alienigena' is an extraterrestrial humanoid being, like us. It's not like in English in which 'alien' means foreigner, so I can be an alien if I go to the US, for example. 😁

Anyway, what matters is that there are more and more people who believe in the existence of aliens. Mind you, in the 90s only 20% of Americans believed in aliens, now it's almost 70%. A consequence of it is that some Christians entered into a state of denial, saying that these aliens are fallen angels. You see, even Christians can't deny that aliens exist, so in order to not get into an existential crisis, they made up that crappy story about fallen angels in disguise. Hahaha.

I don't see how people can be happy thinking in green dudes visiting the Earth.

As I said, in the 90s only 20% of people believed in the existence of aliens. Now it's near 70%. What has changed? Well, people have more access to information thanks to the internet. You can say people believe in whatever they see. I don't think that's the case, though, because on the internet you can also find people denying and even ridiculing the existence of aliens.

So, I'd say it's still the availability of information that is making people have more basis for what they believe in. If tomorrow a dude manages to get a clear photo of an alien ship, all people around the world will believe in aliens.

What does the Bible say about believing in aliens?

What does the Bible say about aliens? The Bible reveals that there is extraterrestrial life, but not as many suppose. Although the Bible does not speak of aliens who live on faraway planets, it does speak of "cosmic powers over this present darkness... spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12).

belief in the Bible is growing just as much as belief in aliens.

Personally I doubt most people answer surveys and polls.

Thus they can often be inaccurate.

And I think the methodology of the survey always ought be questioned.

(Unless one is trying to win a debate) (Joke)

Aliens could be filling the survey forms and polls to make it more accurate.

Well, I tend to think that belief is a bit of a silly concept.

But yes, I do think that "people" are better informed these days and more readily accept the idea of an inhabited Universe, as either a possibility or a probability.

But why "green dudes"?...Because that is the stuff of sci-fantasy.

But hey, no reason why these dudes don't photosynthesise.

Of course, they might be so relatively small that we just cannot see them.

Nonetheless, we shouldn't underestimate the difficulty of getting "dudes" from A to B across interstellar or intergalactic space.

It’s what most people think aliens look like.

But hey, no reason why these dudes don't photosynthesise.

That’s curious because from what I heard, human beings are meant to get rid of their digestive system in a more advanced stage of evolution. Humans will not need to eat and will get the energy directly from the sun.

I have no objetion about it, as long as we keep our sexual system. 😁

How do aliens reproduce?

Aliens in science fiction can reproduce in various ways, but a common example is the Xenomorph, which uses a parasitic life cycle involving a host. The Xenomorph life cycle is a complex process that begins with an egg, hatches into a facehugger, which then implants an embryo into a living host. This embryo, or chestburster, grows inside the host before violently emerging, killing the host in the process and then growing into an adult alien.

How do aliens reproduce?

This is what I heard from contactees.

It depends on the alien race. The more advanced aliens don't do it, they just change bodies when they see their current bodies can't keep going. The aliens who are not that advanced, they do it in laboratories, so women don't give birth. There are other alien races that have issues to reproduce because they have tried the cloning but it didn't work as they expected because cloned bodies don't endure as long as the original body. So, each race has its nuances.

Yes, many fictional alien species reproduce without sex, relying on asexual methods like parthenogenesis or unique biological processes. In science fiction, aliens can also have other forms of reproduction, such as those that create new individuals from a single parent or those where reproduction isn't based on sexual interaction but on genetic manipulation or symbiotic relationships.

Sexual pleasure is sensory simulation, affected by sensory stimulation and internally stored data.

Reproduction is replication.

The two objectives are not mutually necessary.

Nonetheless, perhaps we will turn into the green beings from outer space.

I know a thing or three about statistical sampling [being, once, a certified Six Sigma Black Belt], and the first thing learned is that just asking a question does not certify the effort as a proper polling technique.

  1. A general broadcast question like that will receive most responses from people who favor the idea of the posed question, as those who disagree are not likely to bother to respond, though some do. That is the first skew of data of what is properly called a "design of experiments," one definition of which is the design of a statistical sampling; a "poll."
  2. The expected sample group [those to be polled] must be a known broad spectrum of specific interest in the question at hand. Such a "poll" as conducted by this "YouTube survey" is not likely based on such a "design of experiments" in the first place, and will, therefore, have skewed results, even if they thought they intended an honest survey. Got to know the science of statistical sampling, and they [YouTube] likely does not, just as most media outlets do not understand that science.
  3. The question, if not properly structured by selective wording, may contain bias not intended, and, therefore, skew the results.

Well, this simple poll done in a youtube channel is corroborated with the results of serious studies about aliens.

I don't understand your objection if you believe in aliens too. 😂

Sex in the human species is a biological and social process involving reproduction through the fusion of male and female gametes (sperm and ova), but it is a complex topic that goes beyond simple binary definitions. It is influenced by biological traits like chromosomes (XX or XY), genetics, and the production of different gametes, but also by a combination of cultural, environmental, and psychological factors.Human sexuality is a dynamic interplay of these aspects and plays a crucial role in evolution, social behavior, and individual well-being.

I gave you the initial 3 reasons for my objection that were general onjections that apply to most polls I observe. I was disappointed by a fourth reason after reading the survey particulars in your link to the survey, including the Methodology, which is critical in my educated assessment. That fourth issue: respondants were paid for their participation. It was a small amount [up to $20 value], but even so, it is contrary to adequate methodology for accurate results. That's a fail.

So according to you, people don’t believe in aliens because all the polls don’t satisfy your particular requirements.

Did I say people don't believe in aliens? No, but your attitude of people who don't believe they exist is complètement fou.

Your #1 says they are lazy and don't think. My first comment to you [#17] was not about people who respond to polls, but the people who create them and ask stupid questions that are biased, and then claim their results are valid.

Maybe that lazy and unthinking charge, let alone the "Putain de sa mere!!" was aimed at the guy in mirror, your real nemesis. It sure isn't me.

The ‘Putain de sa mere’ is just an expression to show anger and not aimed at anyone in particular, you should know about that if you really speak French. But again, if you felt alluded, my bad. I don’t want to take the blame for making a senior die from anger. 😂
