So when I started getting into re-sale, plan was very simple. Buy stuff way below their market value, sell them later. Earn profit.
The plan was flawless.
But then, a flaw appeared which I couldn't possibly predict would happen.
After I sold some of my old comic books and earned some money, I realized that I started to miss them.
Then I realized that whatever I buy, I get attached to.
Realistically, I can only sell my manga if I already have copies.
Same goes for my Harry Potter books.
It actually becomes very difficult to sell something you like reading.
If I was emotionless robot, sure strategy would work perfectly.
But I get attached to manga I buy, so I really don't see how can I re-sell it later.
Even if it earns profit, there is a certain emotional drain from it.
It feels like selling your heart.
Worst part is that I like almost every manga I read. The idea of selling it means I can't read it again.
I guess the flawless trade strategy didn't account for emotions of the trader.
