Yeah, humanity is inter-connected, so Germany not immune to globalizaiton.

The larger global concern is what is wrong with humanity?

Watching El Nino news today and it is on track to be the worse ever in its global effects. This is means 2027 is yet again going to be breaking new global heat and other weather patterns.

As if no one has noticed the ongoing increase in Global Erratic Climate Changes. Duh! Humanity or some parts of humanity are asleep --or even worse-- at the wheel.

It is a race against time as to how long humanity will continue to exist on Earth.

There is an old confucius saying --joke actually-- ... ' that human who fart in church, must sit in own pew '.. Well we knew from North American Indians warnings about humanity not respecting the environment that sustains them on Earth.

Is there a philosophy that saves humanity from itself?

AI..' No single philosophy can magically guarantee humanity's survival, but Existential Risk Mitigation and Effective Altruism, combined with global cosmic humanism, offer a practical framework. This approach treats self-destruction as an engineering and moral problem to solve through foresight, cooperation, and restraint.

The core challenge, as biologist E.O. Wilson noted, is that we have Paleolithic emotions, medieval institutions, and godlike technology. To keep our tools from killing us, a survival philosophy must focus on specific shifts '..

Trump is a climate denier. He has rolled back on the restrictions on fossil fuel and industrial carbon emissions control.

Yes, he does want to use coal to power AI data centers.

We are all caught up in the fleeting moment of our own particular existence events, not actually knowing why, or for what purpose...That's if there is a universal purpose of course.

So we are all products of the coal and oil powered industrial revolution that is now so despised by many...Which seems somewhat hypocritical to me...But hey, that's progress I suppose.

Though the human species still keeps churning out more and more users and demanders of energy and consumer products.

Not sure if exacerbating social and environmental problems by increasing demand is a sensible or workable long term model...But hey, perhaps that's all a part of progress too.

And now we introduce AI into the mix, which will surely also progress...Won't it?

Everything towards what, and for what purpose everything.

GOD principle indeed...Please explain.

Whatever is allowed within and enternally existen,t and dynamically transforming Universe, most likely will occur sooner or later, and repeatedly.

To what degree this that or other will occur, and in what time periods, we humans do not know the averages, as to best of our knowledge, this is first time around for us, and no other reference material out there in Universe for us to tap into.

Im still waiting to see avavilble data of known human activities to be fed into the many varous AI systems and see says about any concerns for humanity's past and present actions in regards to a prognostication on the future of humanity on Earth, and, steps or measures that may aid or make worse humanities longer term existence.

Known data > AI > various scenarios > options for humanity --as collective whole-- to consider > preliminary vote > feed results back into AI > reconsideration/review by humanity on AI's review of prelimminary vote > if 2nd vote passes, then trial period begins, that may work out some details of implementation of voting resultants going forward with the option voted in.

Issues for a vote: trust, hope, etc

1} trust that the significant most relevant data fed into AI,

2} trust in the human collective-like --or even individual countries-- to review the AI optional scenarios for humanity to vote on,

3} trust of implementation as voted in, to best of humanities abilities,

4} spirit of trust going forward ....all for one and one for all.....

5} regular reviews/monitoring of process that is voted in,

7} standard of living limits humanity is being asked to consider, in order for longer term security for continued existence on Earth, with the least amount of suffering,

8} .....?....

And yes, opiates do help, especially when other analgesics fail to.

How does religion deal with human suffering.

Healing is always about Spirit. Four primary kinds of Spirit.

AI..' Yes, the lyrics of "Turn! Turn! Turn!" are taken almost word-for-word from the Bible. American folk singer Pete Seeger wrote the song in the late 1950s, and The Byrds made it a famous number-one hit in 1965 '..

This version of song has the lyrics also.

Music is extremely beneficial to health; here is an A! summary followed by an in-depth article from NIH.

A!: Music is very good for your health. It lowers stress, lifts your mood, and helps your heart. It also boosts your brain power and helps you sleep better.

Mental Health Benefits

  1. Lowers stress: Soft music cuts down stress hormones in your blood.
  2. Lifts mood: Happy tunes help your brain release dopamine, which makes you feel good.
  3. Fights sadness: Music therapy can help lower signs of depression and anxiety.

Physical Health Benefits

  1. Helps the heart: Slow songs can lower your blood pressure and slow your heart rate.
  2. Eases pain: Tunes can distract your brain and lower how much pain you feel.
  3. Boosts workouts: Fast beats give you more energy and help you run or exercise longer.

Brain and Memory Benefits

  1. Sharpens memory: Familiar songs help wake up old memories in the brain.
  2. Aids recovery: Music helps people heal after a stroke or brain injury.
  3. Keeps the mind active: Playing an instrument gives your whole brain a strong workout

Edit post

#21 •••
@Debby

Some are born and don't live at all and some exceed 100 years.

And music artistry is no guarantee of a healthy lifestyle or a genetic predisposition to longevity.

Though the general idea as you well know was that listening to music can be a beneficial inclusion in a healthy lifestyle...Which doesn't mean to suggest that listening to music will prevent cancer or heart disease.

Yes, we can run around shouting at the moon that we are responsible for Earth's erratic climate until adults in the room caution the running, shouting children that before humans ever populated the planet - yes, we have not always been here - the Earth had far more violent climate conditions than we now endure. Oops. 140M years ago, when mammals first began populating Earth - before humans - they endured these more violent climates to the era when humanity first arrived. We will not, now, lose our superior intelligence over other animal life, enabling us to create structures wherein we control our interior "climates." Thereby, we will survive, if by no other means. But, our intelligence should also provide means to have greater control, by innovation, to master the natural climates. We will never, however, need to achieve control of Earth's climates [plural] to make all sustain within ±1.5º C. That's absurdity. All of Earth's flora and fauna would not survive if all of life were held within that silly, limited, and artificial range. And we think we have mastered climate science, or that with our limited knowledge of it to date, we should even call it "science?" Also absurd. It isn't science if we cannot even measure it all with the same measurement equipment around the world [and we don't] to standardize our measurements and expect them to be accurate within any reasonable plus-or-minus tolerance.

How does religion deal with human suffering. [Your #12]

By music? It certainly helps, and you have later said as much, and I agree. But to blame God [not that you do, but I have seen posts of yours wherein that blame is suggested, if only because, if He exists, He is responsible for all things - a concept with which I disagree] is not the right answer, either. I maintain that man, himself, is wholly responsible for his suffering other than natural disasters, for which I blame no man, but not God, either. In the vernacular, --it happens, and no one should be blamed. We were never, ever promised by anyone that we would be spared all suffering. How we deal with it, yes, we are responsible, if we choose to be irrational in our response.

In the meantime, religion deals as well as one might expect to help resolve the results of suffering. It is likely ill-equipped to solve all of it, but every effort is and should be appreciated.

Welcome tot truth.......Seek truth to free ourselves from a false narrative.......

Thereby, we will survive,

Survive with least amount of sufferring to whole of humanity. and the environment that sustains us is not same us survivor with maximal amount sufferreing. Your confused and in denial of truth. ...Seek truth and free ourselve from a false narrative.... or not. Your choice

But, our intelligence should also provide means to have greater control, by innovation, to master the natural climates.

Hydrogen weapons do nothing to have greater control over the ecological system that sustains 8.5 billion humans and rising.

Over stock of open cooled radio-atictive plutonium rods is dumb. Not any superior intelligence you attempt to invoke.

We will never, however, need to achieve control of Earth's climates [plural] to make all sustain within ±1.5º C. That's absurdity.

Denial of truth --acceleratring Erratic Climate Change--- is just your confinued repeating a false narrative and a lack your approach to your claims of ..' superior intelligence'.. .Clueless humanity is about profit greed over all else.

Perhaps you ought to look at a more mature science than climatology, like geology. I'll repeat to you what I just posted to SatanLucy in another thread:

Yes, looking at Earth's climatology in the short term would lead to that conclusion; perhaps the last 10 - 20,000 years, or so. But the fact is, geological scientists [a much older and more mature science than climatology, which has been a "science" for only the last 200 years] have known this since the mid-nineteenth century, that we are in a current ice age, called the Quaternary Glaciation Period.

Modern geology formally pins the start of the Quaternary Period and its ice age cycles at 2.58 million years ago, a timeline ratified in 2009 by the International Union of Geological Sciences based on deep-sea core samples. https://attheu.utah.edu/facultystaff/living-in-the-new-ice-age/

In the late 19th century, we discovered that within a single ice age, there are alternating periods of glaciation [expansion of glaciers] and interglaciation periods [receding glaciers]. https://earthguide.ucsd.edu/virtualmuseum/content/discoveryofmultiiceages.html

We are currently in the latter, therefore measuring rising temperatures. That this cycle of alternating periods of cold and warm will continue, just as we observe the same phenomenon on other planets and even the Sun.

In other words, climate science needs to grow up.
