Kardaschev's level-5 civ is universal in scope, purpose, and accomplishment. Its abilities begin to appear god-like, and are. Who said it was ever possible for man to become god? Well, for one, God did. Also, the ancient Egyptians thought so. I suggest reading the Egyptian Book of the Dead. There's an English translation by E.A. Wallis Budge, and Egyptologist of the early 20th century. It is a worthy read. It is more appropriately titled "Spells for Coming Forth by Day." It is about resurrecting in perfection. Abraham taught the Egyptians when he sojourned there, and they learned and absorbed much from him, and pattered their tremples of the middle kingdom-dynasties according to his instruction.
Don't know if Kardashev ever read any of this re: ancient Egypt, he doesn't seem to mention.
The level-5 civilization is learning to to manipulate matter and energy and to create both at atomic level to bring order out of chaos. That is the better understranding of what creation is: organization of matter and energy; not creation from nothing. Looked at from that perspective, creation does not sound like magic, but merely learning higher levels of knowledge than man can conceive.
