That I say I don't care what color of skin someone has means their skin color is not a factor I consider in criticism of anybody, but it is a convenient accusation when one has nothing specific to raise, isn't it?

Show me specifically where and when I've said people cannot have different opinions? I've said that some opinions are not relevant [such as with gender, or that words cannot have whatever meaning we choose], but then, those are just my opinions, aren't they, even though evidence of why I carry that opinion is given, and you rarely offer that kind of defense. So, knowing you have a differing opinion even of that just demonstrates...

Anyone born in America is a native American...Though with a name like Flannigan, I'm assuming there's a bit of the old blarney in there too.

And a native of America.

Native Americans are the original indigenous people of the Americas and their descendants. What you are referring to are American citizens because they are born in America.

And there are no actual North American indigenous folk, only first settlers from Asia who have been there longer than subsequent settlers.

It's the same old, we will start the residency clock when it suits us to...And in that respect any native citizen can rightly refer to themself as indigenous.

Nope, because the Earlier Asian settlers did not own it...They were just there earlier than subsequent settlers who came from Europe...And it was the later settlers who made North America what it is today...And relative concepts are such, that ownership is a shared idea...The reality is, that all human Earthlings are indigenous to one tiny speck of cosmic dust, alone somewhere in a vast Universe with nowhere else to be and nowhere else to come from...And no amount of whooping and hollering will make any difference to the fact.

The Native Indians live on reservations awarded to them by the government as compensation for stealing their land.
