Loophole that allows the US to legally become a dictatorship | Forum

Supposedly, Kurt Gödel, famous Austrian logician and mathematician discovered a loophole in the US constitution that allowed the country to legally become a dictatorship. Not much is known about this, except for Gödel’s statement that it entailed an inner contradiction in the Constitution.

He brought this up with the Judge at his citizenship hearing, and Gödel began to prove it; the Judge saw where he was going and supposedly stopped him from continuing.

Any ideas on what this could be, or if it even exists?

The most common theory is that it involved Article V, which seems too obvious to me, as it just entails changing the constitution, which is not particularly interesting, so I assume it must be something subtle.

The two people Godel spoke to about his discovery, Einstein and Morgernstern, found the loophole highly hypothetical and improbable.
