Given we spend way less on welfare than other developed countries, and our federal Healthcare spending is on par with the rest of the developed world (we have a bloated private sector healthcare spending too but that's irrelevant cause our government Healthcare spending is similar), I think what we can conclude is both that we can't have nice things like other countries cause we have a bloated mikitary... and the thing thats really bankrupting us, is our desire to have a massive military and not being willing to pay for it, and instead borrowing the money so that we can throw money at rich people.
Of course it should be noted, this is all a republican driven problem
