If you are a MAGA person that doesn't consider this a deal breaker to Trump, then you don't consider someone supporting pedophillia to be a deal breaker.  Lets call a spade a spade.

He was already accused of rape, theft and adultery. At some point, people stop caring.

As always, Remy is full of shit, Trump did not pardon Jizzlaine Maxwell, at least not yet.

At some point, people stop caring.

The base is OK with crime. racism, rape, fraud, and insurrection, why would they give a shit about pedophilia.

Donald Trump: "I could rape a little girl on 5th Avenue and I wouldn't lose a single vote."

Epstein's last words: “But I don't want to kill myse…ACK!”

Since when are accusations convictions? An indictment is merely a written accusation, not a conviction. And civil cases are not criminal cases, therefore, what rape, theft, and adultery, all criminal offenses? Oops.

Since when has Trump pardoned Maxwell? According to your windsock puppet? We can only call a spade a spade whe3n it is. Trump has only said he has the authority to do it [and he does, as president - but not one that will do it by autopen], not that he has. Do you listen, or merely assume?

He was a convicted felon too. I am just saying that at some point, people no longer give a shit about what person does, but only care about what person does FOR THEM. Trump essentially did plenty for them, so they dont care that he is a convicted felon.

Yes, and the forest fires in California are started by Jewish Space Lasers.

Oprah and Beyonce tried to overthrow the government in 2016.

Ted Cruz's father assassinated John F Kennedy.

Immigrants are eating our dogs and cats.

OK, your turn.

I mean in most situations the pardon would be inexcusable. But if Ghislaine is prepared to testify in exchange for the pardon and the end result is putting hundreds of Epstein clients in jail then in that light it would be worth it to many people. My personal theory is that Trump is using the blackmail material to control people on his side and, if he does go through with this, he will use Ghislaine's selective testimony to make examples out of his political enemies to give that blackmail material even more potency to those for whom it isn't revealed.

Is this, like, an ideal situation? No, but it's what you get given political actors following rational incentives in a system in which a foreign country is allowed to blackmail and bribe your entire political class with impunity for decades. You get a perverse system with perverse incentives.

So did whole Germany and Japan, and whole China where age of consent is 14. Plus, most of muslim world and many african countries. So yes, most of the world has legalized pedophilia. I dont see whats the big surprise that California did it too even tho age of consent is 18 in California and no law to legalize anything was passed.

Trump has nothing to benefit from pardoning her.

Not for your subject matter, he wasn't. And even that conviction is in huge doubt to survive appeal. That trial from judge to spectator was the biggest legal farce, ever. Henry Campbell Black is spinning in his grave.

Trump did not pardon Jizzlaine Maxwell, at least not yet.

And as much as I despise it, I actually can see a reason why a pardon might be issued.

Jeffrey Epstein's 2008 agreement with prosecutors included immunity for Sarah Kellen, Adriana Ross, Lesley Groff, Nadia Marcinkova and "any potential co-conspirators."

Which Ghislaine would be counted among.

So, it becomes a question on if that deal should have been extended to Ghislaine and, if so, will she go free?

If it should have been but they choose to keep her locked up, I can see an argument for a pardon.

I despise it entirely, that deal Epstein made is disgusting and whoever agreed to allow such broad immunity should be investigated (at worst), but the dumbasses in our government actually made such a mess that pardoning the POS that belongs 6-feet under actually might make sense.

But if he does actually pardon her, I want to know exactly why. I want watchdogs, whistleblowers, everything going as deep as possible to figure it out. If it ends up being because it was the only way the immunity deal would actually be honored, then I will hate it but understand it. Any other reason, and I will be pissed.

Ultimately though, I will be unsurprised. To quote Douglas Adams,

"It is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. To summarize: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job."

The one and only reason a pardon might be issued is if Trump can personally benefit from it in some way. It’s a matter of how MAGA would react, I think MAGA would see it as suspicious and a coverup action, but I have never been able to reason about, make sense of, or predict what MAGA will do. You're better off trying to apply logic to a Fellini movie.

The “whoever agreed to allow” it was a US Attorney by the name of Alexander Acosta, he’s currently in Trump’s cabinet, Labor Secretary. Suspicious…nah.

Even if he has to put the watchdogs and whistleblowers into his administration, Trump won’t allow it to be “any other reason”.

I love Douglas Adams, after I read “Hitchhiker’s Guide”, I listened to all the rest on tape, hearing it with the accent makes them better.

“There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.” ― Douglas Adams
