Only in blue areas, and this is mostly because of political polarization and other issues. It has less to do with Trump's connections to Epstein, though I suppose that's one part of it.
Also, MAGA hat vs. rosary isn't even a fair comparison. It's not like Mary was a rapist, just some priests for the Catholic church. If you wear a shirt praising one of those priests, you'll get a lot of backlash, assuming anyone recognizes who it is. Meanwhile a MAGA hat is directly tied to Trump, so if someone thinks he raped kids, they'd obviously be more mad about that. It's like comparing a shirt with Karl Marx to a shirt with Mao; just because their ideologies were somewhat similar doesn't mean their actions were.
Poor analogy. One is an imperfect church built around Jesus and the other is a cult of personality built around a rapist. One had bad members and the other has a bad leader. They're not the same.
Also people are always going to go after whatever wrongdoings are most relevant to them. Sort of like how you marginalize the failings of conservatives to focus on railing away at liberals -- the human brain looks for what is useful to its identity politics, and the sins of groups that are not as useful to that end kind of fade into the background.
Also, to be fair, I still hear the Catholic Church getting a ton of flak on both sides of the aisle for this.
All religions are cults and religion isn't immoral. You can justify anything with a religion. Just treat MAGA the same way as Catholics, alright?

You're never going to achieve a fair comparison with the Catholic Church. There are like half a million clergy in the Catholic Church, of which maybe 4% were convicted of sexual assault. Jesus was not a rapist; Mary was not a rapist; the Pope has never been charged of rape. But MAGA revolves around a man who was convicted of rape in civil court and was recorded bragging about sexual assault.
And yet ... many people still affiliate with the Catholic Church; so the flak they preach about pedophilia being bad means nothing.
That depends on whether you believe the Catholic Church stands for pedophilia or whether you believe the Catholic Church stands for Christian teachings but erred in how it handled reports of pedophilia by its members.
