I am always opposed to your ban, but I dont control this site's government, despite some thinking that I do.

Now, you have to understand what you were banned for, and that is call to violence.

While I do think this site should have maximal free speech it can have, calls to violence were voted as a big no no, and are one of 4 no no rules:

1. No spam
2. No calls to violence
3. No doxing
4. No committing crime on site

these are 4 no no rules. Now, I can understand how someone thinks calls to violence are free speech, but you were basically arguing there that someone should commit a crime or that its okay to do so, which is a violation of both 2 and 4. So its a double no no.

I don't think it's necessarily left and right that are one and the same, it’s left and right extremism that are one and the same, as we have become more polarized, extremism has grown on both sides (as a reaction to each other), until left and right extremism is closer to each other than either is with either of the middle views.

We see two opposing groups of political extremists that, taken by themselves, are inexplicable within the context of their respective political orientations and which do in fact represent these two “polar opposites” categories of one and the same extremism.  On one side of this polarity is an excessively dogmatic left wing fundamentalism that doesn’t appear to be true to liberalism, and on the other side of the coin, it is opposed by a dogmatic right wing fundamentalism that doesn’t appear to be true to Jesus.

I think the key to understanding is to understand “polar opposites”, to say that “opposites” are “polar” is to say much more than they are opposed or separated; it is to say that they constitute a whole. There is a reciprocal, transactional relationship being described. “Polar opposites” don’t even exist without each other, they are contingent upon each other, you just can’t have the one without the other. Polar opposites are like the two sides of a coin, or the two ends of a stick; they refer to two opposing aspects of one and the same thing. Consequently, such extremists are closer together than either of them is with the more reasonable, middle view.

This would certainly explain why there are more similarities than differences between the online posts of Atheists and Believers, they only appear to be opposites but are in fact inseparable opposites; they constitute a whole. Seen as mirror images of one and the same extremist, they are not mutually exclusive at all; in fact, they are mutually sustaining, reciprocal in their true nature.

I think they are mirror images, the same but inverted, and yet they don't recognize themselves in the mirror, like a dog barking at itself in the mirror.

But then again, they say all wars are internal wars, so maybe on a deep level they do recognize themselves, and perhaps that is why they need each other, because they need the fight.
