Sapiosexuals are awesome (and hated by the left)

Sapiosexuality—defined as being primarily attracted to high intelligence or intellectual stimulation—has become a notable trend on dating apps, often framed as prioritizing wit and deep conversation over conventional physical beauty

However, the term has faced backlash, particularly in progressive or "leftist" online communities, due to several key arguments: 

1. Accusations of Ableism: Critics argue that equating intelligence with sexiness implies that individuals with lower cognitive abilities or different learning capacities are inherently less attractive or valid.
2. Elitism and Exclusion: The term is frequently viewed as a way to brag or as a form of "intellectual signaling" that is exclusionary.
3. Narrow Definition of Intelligence: Leftist critiques often argue that "sapiosexuals" tend to favor a narrow definition of "raw cognitive power" (e.g., high IQ, logic, STEM proficiency) over other forms of intelligence, such as emotional, creative, or artistic intelligence.
4. Performative Nature: Some critics argue that the label is sometimes used by individuals to mask other prejudices or to perform a persona of being "above" superficial, physical attraction. 

While some consider it a valid, under-recognized sexual orientation, others view it simply as a pretentious dating preference. In 2019, OkCupid removed the option for users to identify as sapiosexual following discussions about its potential to be discriminatory. 

I think that there is sometimes a tendency to confuse sexiness and profitability.

Americans have spoken they want their president to be less intelligent and less empathetic. They picked Trump for a second term.

That is indirectly letting Trump win by throwing your vote away.

Liberals are liberals. Trump hates them all.

Sapiosexuals are just dumb people who make thinking that they're smart their whole personalities.

They are just widening the choices available.
