The people in charge then went corrupt with power after 6 DAYS of unchecked power. You may hate them for this, but virtually anybody here would do virtually the exact same thing, so you can't judge without possibly being a hypocrite.
Hitler served for 6 terms (I think it was 6 years) before he completed the Holocaust.
If you give virtually anyone in the country unchecked power for 6 terms, then they are going to probably murder way more than 10 million people in the Holocaust (and they will probably do it sooner). They will deny it now (just like I would deny getting tired in a 1600 meter race if I never ran before in my life), but most people don't experience federal governmental power. Probably a good 25% or so of the population if they got unchecked political power would start a nuclear war with North Korea, and that will lead to a death toll much bigger than the Holocaust.
Many wouldn't; but many left wingers would nuke Tel Aviv because of a claim that the Israelis are doing genocide and support genocide. Powerful leaders don't care if they're being hypocritical; why would they? If you play clash of clans, you would have soldiers die for your loot. Now, they aren't real people, but to politicians, real people become equally expendable as hose cartoon soldiers. Many left wingers would murder every Trump supporter because they would be viewed as Nazis and Nazis deserve death (75 million Trump supporters in the country).
5 years ago, being pro Hitler was taboo.
Today, it's being edgy.
And as of now, I kind of see the appeal because of the Stamford Prisoner experiments. People go massively corrupt with power. They say Hitler murdered 10 million people, I'm like, "Only 10 million? I know many people that would murder way more."
I think this take is fairly moderate.
