Legal rights dont exist in the world, nor moral rights.
And biggest sponsor of terrorism in the world is USA, who even brought current Iran's regime in power.
Iran will just keep protecting its interests, and USA will keep protecting its interests.
Also, Iran never said it even wants nuclear weapons. In fact, up until Israel's attack, Iran allowed regular international inspection to ensure no nuclear weapons were being built. It is only after Israel's attack on Iran that mentioned inspection stopped coming.
Ayatollah which was killed even stated multiple times that nuclear weapons are not islamic.
But now, after it became clear US will attack any country and try to fund terror groups in any country to start civil war, nuclear weapons are guarantee of peace. Libya agreed to give up on nuclear weapons, and Gaddafi ended up worse than Sadam Hussein.
As North Korea demonstrated, the only guarantee US wont attack you is your own nuclear weapon. And Iran has showed great restraint, realistically, Iran could have done a lot more damage than they did so far. But Iran doesnt usually respond with eye for eye. But when it responds, the world's economy shakes.
Rights, moral or otherwise, are only as valid as the force behind them. The right to own a nuke is self-sustaining.

I don't think anybody believes Iran should have nukes, and it has nothing to do "legal" or moral" rights, weapons of mass destruction aren't legal or moral.
Nobody thinks North Korea should have nukes either, but oh well, it happened, so we deal with it.
I don't think there would be a way to deal with Iran if they got nukes, not for long.
Morally, nobody has a right to nuclear weapons, but we can't un-ring that bell, and as long as the technology proliferates, we can't contain it forever, just postpone it. The technical knowledge is on the internet right now, with the materials, a good reasonably good physicist can make one and I don't think we can control the requisite materials that long. We aren't that far away from a situation where a motivated terrorist can make a nuke and put it in a car trunk, shipping container, or even a suitcase.
In the long run, we are screwed.

Iran needs nuclear weapons as a defensive strategy just like North Korea.
