Tired of Political Chaos? So Is AI.

With all the chaos and division I’ve been following in American politics lately, I’ve genuinely started thinking — what if we removed political parties and individual leaders altogether, and replaced them with a centralized artificial intelligence?

An AI that proposes laws, criticizes them, analyzes all outcomes, and comes up with the most optimal decision — without bias, without idolizing anyone, and without personal interests.

Of course, I’m not saying this could happen overnight. But we’re clearly moving in that direction. Take the concept of e-Government, for example. Back then it simply meant digitalizing government services, but now things are evolving much further.

Imagine a future where transport projects, housing plans, or social programs are fully studied and optimized by AI — then reviewed and approved by an elected body. Fast forward a few years, and even that approval process could become automated.

Maybe, maybe not...AI is known to 'hallucinate' or generate false data, a.k.a. "lie". I dont think that is typically malicious though.


What I am asking is what type of government (monarchy, democracy, Republic, mixed, etc) AI would gravitate towards?

Might be the wrong question? At least with current iterations of AI, it'd probably be less of a "what would AI choose" and more of a "if we were going to stick an AI in charge, what system would we set them up in?"

You may be right, but I imagined an automated centralized system might inadvertently arrive at a particular philosophy.

First thought went to constitutional monarchy. Centralized authority so that it can actually use its processing power without getting impeded by human corruption, but getting it to act within the guidelines of human decency to avoid Skynet.


Might not be right, but that's just what I thought of first.

Which AI platform do you suggest. It's not like there's just a few; there are thousands. Among those, not even 10% are likely poloitically saavy, but even so, I doubt they agree any more than we do, so, to what end? I am not into voting for a machine since I am not one, myself. I want human representation, even if they disagree, not a crowd of mechanical autocrats. After all, what else best defines disagreement but the freedom to disagree. That's dem0ocracy in a nutshell. No democracy is not the perfect system, but it's the best we have manged to create so far...
