All people are going to betray you given right conditions, this is a fact. Gods, on the other hand, wont.

I think this is why atheists have issues in life. They dont have bond with God. Healthy bonds are necessary for good life, but atheists must rely on bonds with people, and people betray them and atheists end up broken because then there is no one they can trust. Trust issues seem to be mainly atheist problems. Also, when I see person with big depression and complaining, I can 99% guess that they are atheists. I dont think I ever saw a deeply religious person in big depression. Its almost always atheists.

C'mon man! Martin Luther, one of the most influential figures in church history, experienced severe episodes of depression. He called them his "anfechtungen" (spiritual assaults) and described feelings of utter despair. Yet he clung to the promises of God’s grace.

Whenever I hear a religious person talk, or see religious memes or posts on social media, I feel an immense sense of relief and gratitude for the fact that I escaped religion. I feel like I've escaped a mental prison. I don't have to live by someone else's bronze age, barbaric rules. I don't have to pretend and pray and never hear anything in return. I don't have to deal with the cutting judgements of a toxic community.

I'm as old as Trump, I don't wear glasses or take any medication. And yes, I believe in Borgnine's key to longevity.

Belief makes depression easier to deal with, because it gives hope. But yeah, religion communities can be shit. I am not part of any religious community.

Well, there is depression and then there is depression.

The one requires a positive outlook and the other is a debilitating physiological condition.

And I don't think that the latter is picky.

And the former is more likely a response to the everyday stresses we impose upon ourselves...A religious club may well be supportive in such instances...As might other support groups...Along with a healthy diet and physical exercise to promote well being...I personally find music and meditation extremely helpful and also enjoy exchanging thoughts on religion from a non-religious perspective.

So how big was your study group?

The Big Bang Club may well be supportive in such instances.

This is like the poorest reason I could think of to become a theist.

All studies show that atheists perform worse. Again, almost all depressed people I ever met were atheists. Japan is mostly atheist and its most depressed country on Earth by far. Even poorest religious countries on Earth are happier than Japan.

China also has lots of atheists. Another example of depressed country with failed birth rates too.

The majority of the Greenlandic population is Christian and yet it has the highest depressive disorder rate in the world.

You've got to check out the data FLRW provided. Japan is very far from being a depressed country. Idem South Korea.

Maybe you're confusing it with suicide rates which is a bit high in Japan. Maybe it's easier for an atheist to take his own life than a religious person who doesn't do it because he thinks papa God can get mad at him.

For sure, certain things need supporting.

Sure, highest suicide rates, no birth rates.

Hey what's up SatanLucy it's God. I've hijacked this RealMcDonalds account to talk to you. Just letting you know I'm gonna take a hike for a bit and let you handle things here on Earth. I'm gonna go start another universe and this time I'll let them eat the fucking fruit. I'm still angry about that by the way. How would you like it if you saved a bunch of extra special fresh fruit in your fridge and then some fucking snake comes by convinces these two half-formed primates to eat it? Fucking sucks man. I know I could make more fruit but it's the fucking principle of the thing, isn't it? If you waited maybe I'd share it with you but you were so fucking impatient. I was going to turn it into an apple crumble.

Anyway I'll give you some secrets of the universe before I give this account back to the poor fucking intern running it:

1) AI slop is real: it's actually showing things that are happening in hell.

2) The Illuminati exists but it's just 2 guys who meet up in a Texas Roadhouse and decide how the economy is going to go and which Hollywood celebrity is going to be sacrificed to Satan.

3) Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert are actually the drag personas of 2 gay twinks who decided to run for Congress as a joke but it got way out of hand.

4) Trump and Putin are furries, but their fursuits are their human skins.

5) I asked Mary to put Jesus up for adoption.

6) My dick is the size of the cosmos.

7) Technically, because I, God, invented everyone and everything; I, by the transitive property, am on the Epstein client list.

8) Joe Rogan spontaneously generated from the ether when a college frat douche, a middle aged Italian-American, and Rob Schneider rubbed shoulders while trying to get past each other in a narrow hallway.

9) Bush didn't do 9/11 but he did cause Covid-19.

10) Moses wrote me to look less cool than I actually am.

Peace out fuckos,

God

You indirectly complain all the time. Even in this thread you're beginning from the premise that you can't trust anyone, people are awful, friendship and emotional intimacy is a lie, and there is no one in this world you will ever be able to rely on. These are not the thoughts of a happy person.

Dear GOD.

Apple crumble doesn't necessarily require blackberries but they certainly add a certain je ne sais quoi.

And considering point 6, are nebulae the result of ejaculatory discharge.

And " Fucking sucks man" is definitely" one pre-nebulae serpent management option.

And if you create another verse should we drop the uni.

And fig leaves... Are you sure it wasn't fig crumble.

And in all the photos why do Adam and Eve always come across as ethereal pale left wing radicals, rather than dark hairy apes that would prefer bananas anyway.

And Moses the basket case, just like Abraham, was off his head at the time, and also pissed off with having to lug those tablets of stone up and down Mt Sanai...A pamphlet would have sufficed.

And what did the dinosaurs do to upset you...You thought you had their remains well buried didn't you...Got bored and started hurling stones about...That was the original sin wasn't it?

I have a metaphysical shop.Everything here is spiritual, including customers. A lot of people that come in here have trauma, depression and issues. They come here looking for guidance, comfort and healing. No idea why you would assume that one group of human beings doesn't experience human emotions.

The original sin was eating the forbidden fruit.

If I was atheist, sure, those thoughts would make me really sad and hopeless. As a believer, they dont make me sad at all because I can still rely on Gods for help, while all humans are temporary anyway.

Edit post

@Polytheistwitch

I am not saying believers dont get sad, I am just saying atheists get those issues much more and much worse, as proved by every single atheist and low-religious country in history. If you expand your buisness to atheists, you will probably triple the number of customers.

The original sin was a metaphor for sex.

For millennia, people have had hang ups about naked bodies.

Penises and vulvas in particular.

Though oddly, Godfrey had no problems giving Mary one in the stable....And people have been celebrating it ever since.

You're still assuming everyone shares your negative experiences with people, relationships, and trust, Luce. I often consider becoming a theist, but for spiritual fulfillment, not so I can have someone to trust. I trust the people in my life well.

@Wryly

My theology is completely about connecting with Gods and making deals with Gods. I do talk with humans too especially online but that is for research purposes and has no any love involved.

The original sin was eating the forbidden fruit.

The "forbidden fruit" refers to the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil that God prohibited Adam and Eve from eating in the Garden of Eden, leading to their disobedience and "the Fall of Man". Although often depicted as an apple, the Bible never specifies the fruit's identity; the apple became a common symbol due to the Latin word malum (apple) being similar to malum (evil).
