Power.
Satanists were correct in this sense. The true morality is power.
Think about it. What rights could you possibly have, if it wasnt for some power protecting them? Power protects rights, enables rights, creates rights. Rights which dont have power are indeed self-defeating.
World works on power. Think about it. Wolf eats sheep. Frog eats butterfly. Why does this happen? Because wolf has more power than sheep. If sheep was stronger than wolf, would wolf be able to eat it? No.
The same law applies to humans. Some human groups are far stronger than others, and they of course get more resources and are better able to secure their desires.
What is power?
Power is ability to achieve one's will.
The ones who lack power and who arent protected by any power cannot achieve their will.
In this sense, and this is true by definition, the only way in which any morality can work is with power.
If morality doesnt have power, it cannot realize itself.
So primary goal of every morality must be power, or such morality cannot even exist.
Taoists did try to make a response to this by saying if a man has no desires, he doesnt need power, because he doesnt need to realize anything, and will have no unrealized desires.
But the main problem for Taoists is that such man would always be at mercy of powerful ones, and his existence would still depend on powerful ones sparing him.
Further, such man never realizes any desire, as he has none. So he has no any power (ability to realize desire).
So such man would not be most powerful, but most weak.
World is truly a competition between powerful ones. Think about it. If it wasnt for US and Europe military, China and Russia would own Europe and USA. The only thing which prevents them from conquering USA and Europe is the opposite power which would defeat them and prevent them from achieving their desire.
So there are indeed two types of power: First one is ability to achieve own desire, and second one is ability to prevent someone else from achieving their desire. The second can be included in first.
This world works on these laws, and human power is always finite, but some humans have more power than other humans, some groups have more power than other groups.
Power is not earned. Often it is given by mere luck, by mere position or place of birth.
Power is what all rights and laws rest upon. Think about it, if law had no power, how would law be enforced? If rights had no power on their side to protect them, what would protect them?
Power indeed is divided on protection and destruction.
Creation and transformation can be considered powers too.
In magic, likewise, spells are divided on protection, destruction, creation, transformation. This is the universal division of spells. There is no spell which isnt one of these.
