Jesus rejected Satan's temptations in the biblical account of the Temptation of Christ. According to the gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, after Jesus fasted for 40 days, Satan appeared and offered him several shortcuts to power. Jesus refused each offer by citing scripture, ultimately causing Satan to leave him alone.
