No one knows how the standarised, bronze, Roman Pentagonal Dodecahedron was used for.

Go to 24:40 or some before for context of other ideas. Believed now to be used by the grammati surveyors along the military fort border lines across Roman territories in Europe and Britain.

As of now, no one knows how the surveyors used these tools. The roman did not record how they used them or that they were used by the military surveyors.

Sort of like how we have found no documentation by Eygptians on specifically how they built the pyramids. Two interesting civilization puzzles waiting to be answered. I do like the Cannibalistic scenario for how the pryamids may have been built.

That is a differrent video tho, nothing to do with this one below.

The pyramids were built by skilled labourers . It took some 20,000 to 30,000 skilled labourers to build the pyramids.

Hmmmm...Skilled labourers is something of a contradiction isn't it.

Forced labourers more like.

But hey, if experts say that lugging 2 ton blocks of stone around a desert was fun work, then who am I to argue.

It took skilled labour to build the pyramids. That is why they are only found in Egypt.

Not a particularly logical statement Debs.

Egypt was one of the most advanced ancient civilizations. Learn some history.

As a generalisation, that is a widely accepted truism...Which I was probably taught in infant school.

And prior to the Egyptian era, there would have been other relatively advanced civilisations...Just as newer advanced civilisations developed later.

The technology used to build the pyramids demonstrated their use of advanced technology in construction.

And also demonstrated the human need to do daft things.

Hey, but it's all progress.

The Egyptians gave us: papyrus and ink the first paper and ink to use to write.

365 day calendar. Tracking the star to predict farming and annual floods.

Hieroglyphs. The first picture based writing to record laws and stories.

Yes, I guess that someone was/is always eventually going to do stuff.

That is why Egypt was recognized as one on the earliest civilizations. Next came China and India.

For sure "human civilization" was/is an ongoing process, so obviously relative to now, "Ancient Egypt" 2050 to 5000 years ago was an earlier civilization.

There were also the Minoans and the Myceneans.

Not to mention all those dudes such as the Sumerians and Akkadians who had been kicking about in Mesopotamia.

Oh blimey, and there were the Caral-Supe of South America and also all those East Asian dudes such as those Indus Valley folk.

And of course we now have the Trump family, the Putians, the Korean Un's and the Netanyahu's of Palestine...Civilized folk indeed.

The Trump family, the Putians, the Koreans and the Netanyahu’s are ruining civilization.
