The next gen Tesla Roadster's Rocket Variant(whose price is unknown, the model just below it is priced 250,000 Dollars) doesn't actually 'fly' but it performs 'ballistic hops'

It mainly has 2 components which help it perform these balistic hops, and driving upside down.

1.Cold Gas Rocket Thrusters:-

Unlike traditional rockets that burn fuel, the Roadster uses cold-gas thrusters derived from SpaceX’s Falcon 9 orientation control system

A.The Storage Tank: A carbon-overwrapped composite pressure vessel (COPV) replaces the rear seats, storing ultra-compressed air at roughly 5,500 psi (380 bar). An onboard electric compressor tied to the main battery refills the tank on the go.

B.The Nozzles: About 10 electric-actuated nozzles are arranged around the perimeter of the car. Opening the rear valves blasts air backward, propelling the car from 0 to 60 mph in 0.81 seconds (an average acceleration of \approx 3.4g, bypassing the friction limit of rubber tires, which usually cap out around 1.2g to 1.5g).

C. Mid-Air Attitude Control: When the downward-facing thrusters fire with a force greater than the car's weight(thrust greater than mg), the car lifts off. Because a car in mid-air has no aerodynamic control surfaces, onboard computers pulse the perimeter nozzles in milliseconds to generate counter-torques , keeping the car level (pitch and roll control) until touchdown.

2. Multi-Mode Suction System (Driving Upside-Down)

During the demonstration, the Roadster clung to an overhead ceiling like a gecko. Thrusters alone don't do this—it relies on an active ground-effect fan system (similar to the 1978 Brabham BT46B Formula 1 fan car):

q. Flexible skirts seal the gap between the bottom of the chassis and the road.

High-speed electric fans suck the air out from under the car, creating a partial vacuum.

B. On a normal track, this creates massive artificial normal force, multiplying maximum static friction, so the car can corner at blisteringly high speeds without skidding.

All this technology is pretty amazing, but it only hops, and it can't even hop too much. The car's mass is almost 1800kgs, and the vaccum is producing a 2g force to drive upside down, that's very impressive because it will feel like like the car is almost driving on a road !! Just a normal road, but turned upside down. Too bad the person sitting inside would get hanged from the seatbelt as their blood thrushes towards their brain, as the car sticks to the wall, the person isn't the car, but in the car. Most people will vomit, and it will be a usual 1 g force. So no hopping too much, no back flips. No useful thrust after 5 seconds.

Would you consider it cool for accomplishing things which others haven't or will you call it a sham for impracrical costs, not being road legal, having too many hidden limits, and probably because you will likely vomit and get sick from even 5 seconds of any of those cool looking experiences ?
