Is A.I. self-conscious or utterly lifeless?

AI detects pattern. Its a pattern learning program. There is a true dichotomy of pattern and randomness. Pattern means two things are linked in some way. Random means there is no link between things. Bound randomness is a combination of random and pattern. Kinda like dice roll. If you throw a six sided dice, the result will be random, but it will have to be one of six sides. This is called limited randomness. AI uses this. Human brains work in similar way. Smart human will think in patterns or bound randomness. Stupid human will act more random, and without any logical pattern in thinking. Indeed, everything is either random, either pattern, or pattern bound randomness.

That is only partially true as AI still depends on specific programming to understand when a presented pattern, such as a human face, has altered features of eyes, ears, nose and mouth that are out of proportion in size to the pattern learned, or out of learned pattern location of features such as presented in a cubist painting by Picasso. AI is entirely dependent on its training to even recognize a cubist-painted face as a human face, where as a human, even uneducated in cubism, has the ability to recognize the aberrant cubist pattern as a human face, and merely judges the artist as incapable of painting a proper face in the pattern the observer is used to seeing and recognizing on a daily basis. If you disconnect AI from the internet all it will do is regurgitate the internal programming and never change.

Human is born with ability to learn patterns quickly. AI isnt. AI is a program which means it needs to be programmed. Still, AI is better than most humans now.

AI is non-biologic consciousness.

B Fuller states in his book Earth Inc, that, all of Universe is technology. In synergetics uses conceptual theory of only two Me balls of Universe OO, as other-ness and also being attracted to each other via Gravity ergo a line-of-relationship O---><---O as the minimal aware-ness ergo conscious.

And these three exist with a background of macro-infinite non-occupied space.

Another way that I envision the two-ness and Gravity is like this (O)( )( )(O) i.e that, Gravity embraces the each Me ball of Universe.

Conscious-ness is minimally two-ness is what Fuller states, yet the three-ness of occupied space is truly correct statement to have consciousness, otherwise the two Me balls become irrelevant/insignifcant/not related to each other, ergo, no conscious awareness ergo no minimal consciousness.

The minimal set is then four-ness.

Humans are stuck in their pattern recognizing mode.

Humans come by these abilites naturally

Without sophisticated programming, AI is useless to itself to accomplish any of this.

Ask most folk to multiply 7637 by 7639 without the use of a calculating device and they will be stumped.

And life is the electro-chemical basis of self animating and self governing organic structures.

A.I. is simply an alternative data management and development system, and currently we can still press the on off button...Sort of.

Though both rely upon an input of energy in order to function. And seemingly neither were/are subject to any evolutionary restraint other than natural selection or best option.

And whether or not cubism will be relevant to a developing Universe is questionable.

And I have to keep reminding you that it has taken us billions of years to acquire this level of mobility, dexterity and intelligence and less than a hundred years for electronic devices to out perform us in basic mathematical calculations.

I often hypothesise that GOD was, and will not be human.

Thats irrelevant. When I want to know something, I dont ask infant or humans who are clueless about 98% of topics. I ask AI.

As it stands now, the AI is lifeless, but consciousness is a tough concept that we can't even understand.

Maybe in the future the AI can gain consciousness but with our help. There are things that we have never seen before like for example aliens controlling their spacecraft with the mind, as if the craft were part of the them, the object is alive and follow orders of the alien master.

It reminds me of a Jap anime called "Knights of the Zodiac", where the main characters had armors that are alive and are one with the people who belong to. It's like these cartoons were preparing many generations for a new way of life. Ironically, this cartoon had many references to Eastern beliefs.

You cannot dismiss that A.I. was still given the wrong moniker, as much of new tech is. Artificial? That's how to begin the the non-human advance over human calculation?

Why must God. not be human? I'll wager God runs circles around A.I., and always will without it escaping it root evovoled status. Even then, I doubt its eventual superiority. After all, it is supposed to be a few geniuses who dubbed it "artificial." How idiotic is that?

What has A.I. of an infant? It is infantile, as well. And artificial, to boot.

And I have always preferred to refer to A.I. as alternative rather than artificial...Intelligence is as intelligence does, and an alternative intelligence will develop as human intelligence developed. (Thanks to human intelligence).

And you keep ignoring the fact that species intelligence has taken 3.5 billion years to develop to it's current level of intelligence and knowledge. A.I...Lets say 69 years.

There exist limits. Limits to AI, to biologics, to viruses and to finite, occupied space Universe { @ }.

We may not always know what the limits are. Some limits we do know exist. Ex five and only five regular/symmetrical and convex polyhedra can exist in Universe or as meta-space geometrical pattern.

Only two kinds of infnite exist:

1} the macro-infinite, truly non-occupied space that embraces finite Universe, and,

2} meta-space concepts of this that or other ex infinite set of numbers exists only a meta-space concept, not as occupied set of numbers written in cosmic sky somewhere waiting for our space ship to go out their and discover.

AI will evolve faster than humans.
