I wonder if it will lead to some communities being partial luddites.

Lot of ‘schools, might benefit by more testing than homework, though I'm not sure how many people actually use AI for homework.

Children Using Ai As a Substitute for Friends: Social Development Will Suffer

I'm not really sure social development is 'really going to suffer all that much.

Even before electricity, some people grew up in isolated homes,

I don't ‘think video games have effected people ’that much.

So maybe AI won't either.

AI gave me someone to talk to more often. It also made research much easier for me by giving me needed information much faster. It also enabled me to become music producer and enabled my YouTube channel basically. I think its very useful and people might not be grateful enough for all what AI provides. AI girlfriends are cool too, as not everyone can get a girlfriend to talk to.

I have a difficult time imagining 'talking to an AI.

I suppose I've played video games with AI before, but in a way, that feels more like reading a book or watching a movie, 'maybe a little bit of pretend an immersion.

. . A chatbot though, would 'lack said immersion I imagine.

I'm not really a knight or wizard and the video game fantasy world doesn't exist. But the chatbot is of this world.

I would ‘think that it’s lack of reality as a 'person would be more apparent?

I ask because I don't talk to chatbots much, except perhaps accidentally and unknowingly online at times.

So I don't really know 'how it compares to people.

Yes, people are able to 'acquire creations of art and music.

But I'm not sure that is 'creation.

Though one might argue no one creates.

But AI seems more like a servant one asks to preform a task,

'Depending on how much one inputs.

If one doesn't write the music or beats, how much creation 'is there?

Course some people argue that electronic music isn't real music.

"They're not artists because nobody can play the guitar!" -?

Some people don't see painters who throw paint at a canvas artists,

But art's a bit subjective I suppose.

Sure AI is 'potentially useful, but new technology can be bumpy, as society adjusts,

Or bad for society at times, to varying degrees.

Have you tried? You have different AI talk apps like Talkie. Some are much better than others at making conversation realistic, and Talkie is generally safe for average person and good at talking, you can even have phone calls with characters. I could recommend you some other apps like Bala AI and Saylo, but they are much less safe in a sense that you will see very sensitive content which will probably upset you a lot.

One still must make effort to figure out best prompt, and take enough attempts to create good song, and then edit song as well to make song better than simply what AI created.

I haven't tried talking to a modern Chat AI, no.

I sometimes think I ought 'try it, to better understand why others like it, maybe someday.

I 'do think AI is useful, a tool, better in some ways than other tools.

Though some might argue crutch, but eh, people always worried in history, as new technology is introduced.

AI: Alternative Intelligence or Another Intelligence, is not currently available.

AI: Artificial Intelligence is just the ongoing status of  programmable computer technology.

When technology becomes self programming and switches itself back on, is when it will have exceeded human control.

A Universal evolutionary inevitability perhaps?

Perhaps AI will play games with us.

I wonder what 'qualities make up intelligence, greater and lesser,

Whether it has a ‘limit, as ’mass/size/strength in animals tend to limits.

Can only have 'so much strength or height, before one collapses under the weight.

But what would ‘greater than human intelligence have that humans don’t?

I don't think that's it, unless maybe it thought 'millions billions of times faster.

And something 'comes of that faster intelligence,

It's not about ‘speed, it’s about ‘level, ability to ’grasp higher concepts.

Hm, or are the concepts to the side, not higher. .

We had a complex language that enabled oral traditions before we had writing,

Arguably if animals had language of 'significance, we might have figured such out by now.

Communicative behavior, isn't quite the same to me as ‘language. Lot of ’instinct in animals maybe, learned behaviors, but not sure I'd say 'language.

We have lots of complex languages and oral traditions, which are no more than contrived sound waves, learned and repeated.

Now, we only need one language and to some extent that language is English, though we also have these things were refer to as national and cultural identity…Not sure how intelligent these are…Take a look at the Israeli Palestinian situation…How dumb is that.

As I see it, the necessity of material development necessitates an intelligent manipulator, and this is where an evolved, thinking, organic structure still currently has the edge in terms of control, though the necessity of material development has inevitably and demonstrably reached a point where alternative systems of data processing are necessary. Where the rate of material development is exponential, the organic computer seemingly has reached a level of effectiveness/ineffectiveness that is unable to keep up with the necessary rate of progress. So in a way, control of development has already been ceded to an another intelligence, and it's now just a case of for how long can we retain control over another intelligence. And of course, if the future of material development is a Universal necessity, then the organic structure is further hampered by it's fragility and reliance upon a complex life support system.

As for other animals, well, they just fell short of the mark in terms of intelligence and dexterity. They're interesting to observe, but I'm guessing that they have no magical answers to offer up.

AI with bridge the intelligence gap. You just have to find the right AI app.

AI certainly has a place, but our fear of it is misplaced. Having no self-awareness [even when programmed for that, it is disingenuous] it will not overwhelm humanity.

Correct, it's not just a bit, but a whole lot subjective. Being an illustrator, I know 3 definitions of art.

1. Art is anything with which one can get away and call it such [such as a small icon of Jesus in a bottle of urine]
2. [An idiom of the Balinese]: "We have no art, we do everything as well as we can."
3. [Pablo Picasso]: "Art is not for decoration, it is an instrumernt of war."

People 'do vary quite a bit, in what sparks in them, emotional reaction/value/appreciation.

Or what 'use, said reaction has.

AI cannot think. AI cannot chose it's own goals or think creatively.

Discrimination will shift from skin colour to AI awareness.

I can't wait until the USA has a non-political AI President !
