Why? The existence of a recruiter makes it completely insane. For one scum, affiliation is 100% disassociated from role. All a mass full claim will do is let them know exactly who to target to pick off whatever investigative roles could help us to find them.

Also, two more points. One of the original scum team is dead. So if they have been provided with even a single fake claim, this mass full claim is pointless.

Secondly, we lynched our protective role DP1, so putting all this information out there is especially nuts when we have no way to protect power roles.

I also hate the speed of the last lynch. I have to reread the DP but I was really eager to jump to Mikal pressure cuz of it but there is some validity to that. I am kind of skeptical of the Vengeful claim as claiming Xenomoprh is pretty bold but I also don’t think the theme is that simple so I think pressing on this could be a bad idea. I think we need to look more towards behavior. I have some thoughts about my reads but have to drive to work now

Yeah. Is it better than taking over a top-tier player who is widely townread? Personally, I'd take the latter route.

The goal is to find that one scum who has always been scum. Luna explicitly said he didn’t give mafia fake claims. Whatever that one person claims will likely be fake or easily counterclaimed when we all claim at 12pm cst

The soft claim doesn’t do much. The universe is wide. At least character claim if you have the chance

If we are not all doing this. We should not do it all. The point is the mass claim was to analyze who took what actions on np1 and why. Also to analyze roles from balance since town roles are no longer confirmable since any town role could be mafia.

Why not just reveal your character and who you targetted?

The issue is if we aren’t full claiming it’s worthless and giving to much info. With a mafia recruit, confirmable roles are useless. The only thing we have to go off is theme (which Luna said would be hard if I recall), balance (we need all roles to do this), and motivation about who you targeted (need to know the role to understand the motivation)

the only one who revealed anything dp1 was David. And mafia activated that recruit off the rip. So they either gambled and we need all the info we can get or they picked David because if he is vengeful and takes someone down with him. I’m not sure if they picked him, because I behavioral lean town with him but if he is scum, today is mylo. That recruit role is very powerful and imo is better used on a confirmed townie or disrupt thought processes later in the game. Why use it off the rip and gamble with who you get? That’s what bothers me about David. Is when they chose to use.

we need something to progress the game and I agree mass claiming is a situational thing but this is one of the few times we legitimately need as much info as we can because if he is scum and we pick wrong the game is over

so we have to assume they picked at random. Dayphase is ended fast as shit because of the vote count blunder and no real info was givien. Or we can assume they could have went after the only claimed role which is extremely powerful as scum.

any role even even confirmable roles can be scum. So if you have another way to move the day forward outside of voting mostly at random and without using what we have to poe which is only night actions and motivations/balance (it’s essentially day phase 1 again along with potentially being mylo). I’m open to hear it

Just in case we don’t get a mass claim. I’m the engineers. We have to do something to get some type of info and super has posted like 3 times and you are not wanting to cooperate with it. So it’s extremely difficult and frustrating to gauge things atm.

Alright, so that role confirms you in my eyes. I already mentioned that I received info back in post #114, I'm just holding off on providing that info. I think providing it along with the massclaim affords us the best use of that information.

I have a hard time believing scum would just use the opportunity of my posting the L-1 vote to get a quick lynch since it's so blatant, but I'm still sussing Mikal a bit for it since that may be the point. It's WIFOM, but I can see Mikal trying to spin it as a mistake. As for Kohai's claim, I still think it rings true (I don't think he makes it a heads up between himself and Thoth if he's scum like he did last DP if he was scum), mainly just a question of whether he was converted by Casey's Yakuza. Haven't seen a change in behavior this DP, though.

As for massclaiming, looks like everyone is onboard aside from REF (he at least gave a character claim and said he didn't do anything, so that's something to work with) and Vader (who popped in and left, but at least has a partially verified role and night action). I'll be here at the appointed time regardless, but we do need to get everyone's claims if we're doing this.

How on earth could that 'info' help town at all? I did nothing, I interacted with nobody. All it does is help scum find good targets and narrow down the power roles.

What better plan do you have? Nothing from DP1 is reliable in terms of behavior. DP2 has had nothing at all. WF/Supa have info that can be used for character analysis apparently

Explain how we pick a good target today when it can be potentially be mylo and the yakuza set us back to this functioning as dp1. This is not just me pushing. It’s everyone else in the game agreeing and you are the oddball. Pie was the one who started it if I recall and I agree with him. Given the potential that David is scum and the game just ends if we mislynch, we have to have information from somewhere.

I think having everything on the table to analyze is important because you not claiming your role for protection or because you think it’s important is useless if David is scum and we mislynch. Great you don’t tell anyone, and that is less info we have. For whatever reason you are an op role, it’s then useless because the game is over.

if we are not doing that, then Im fine with character claiming only as at least we can look at theme. But it’s less info to make a judgement call on at potential mylo.

Our goal should be to identify the one scum who is forced to fake claim and lynch them. Cause the other scum will just claim their true role to begin with. We have to lynch them today or tomorrow. That should be our first priority
