Awesome is a player I don't know, and have no read on - that makes him potentially dangerous so...

I will likely not post at all tomorrow since I'm gona be busy all day and the DP ends at 5pm. So just in case my fellow townies bandwagon retroactively onto an Awesome vote for lack of a better choice, I'm just going to start there I guess... I suppose I could be convinced to plop my vote somewhere else in the next hour perhaps, but in the meantime...

Since it is you that I voted for, and you seem to be an experienced mafia player, and probly a decent one at that, I'd say you are an excellent and appropriate individual to judge it.

I could go after awesome, Pie, or unsaid too, and I'd like to see more from Vader, but this is where I am getting my worst vibes currently.

Airmax can be looked at tomorrow if needed, but, if a townlock is neighborized and tells us so, that pretty well confirms Airmax as town since a scum neighborizer is almost as unlikely as Mr Rogers being scum, NAI-flavor notwithstanding.

My reads really haven't budged much. Whiteflame would probably be top choice, then max. Maybe Pie or Vader, but I'd prefer to wait and see with them. I will check in before the DP ends at some point to cast my vote.

We're running short on time and, unfortunately, I'm short on sleep. For people who want my claim, I'll point back to post #384 where I said my role is alignment-specific. If you still want it, I'll give it just so we can move on, but it's a town-only role.

As for my vote, I had Awesome under my null reads and I can't say he's done anything to shift into my town pile. I'll help raise the pressure:

I don’t mind switching to Awesome at this point but looking at Mikals behavior and other things I think he’s deffo playing to solve the game and not some hyper fixation on winning. I also think his combo is lethal enough that I just can’t see it being scum unless he’s paired with someone. Mikal is a slight town along with Luna.

At this point I can’t read the new players and it seems like unsaid is talking about a debate site and Epstein rather than mafia but I just feel like he’s town because of this and I have no idea why. I honestly think awesome has been laying a bit low (ironic I say this) and not really putting anything out there despite the experience playing mafia. I also am re-evaluating my Pie read

I try to post in bits and spurts but I work 6-3 most days and it’s an hour and 10 drive home with a site that’s not as mobile friendly. I’m home usually around 4:20-4:40 on a good day and then I eat dinner and gym so I usually am back at 7 and if there’s football on forget about posting so sorry for the lack of activity

I think Awesome is a good person to target at this point. My gut is telling me unsaid is town just cuz of his reactions and posts and interactions with other players

i think scum is probably in that 5 pool but I don’t see enough behaviorally. The only thing that stands out is Pie getting revenge and I feel he could do that as scum IMO and just clean wipe. Idk it just felt kinda odd for him to say that as town but also why would scum Pie even say that?

awesome is someone with experience and it seems like they aren’t analyzing the game as much as they could be despite having MU experience. Unsaid has forum mafia experience and is trying to evaluate a new player base and I actually really like, even if he is wrong. Seems like he is making an attempt

cant really read Rex and I always find WF hard to read when he’s trying and making a lot of deeper thought

I think I only played forum mafia with Max like once and I don’t remember his meta at all. I think he’s somewhat easier to identify in live mafia than in forum mafia tbh but I don’t feel like there’s any sus about him

I’m really torn on having us both claim to sort this out. We already have two full claims on the table in a game where we know there’s an anti-claim mechanic. Maybe you’re willing to risk that because you’re apparently bulletproof, but anyone else is likely to be fucked over by claiming.

That being said, we do have to sort this out. Splitting the vote is also a dangerous proposition in a game with a mandatory lynch. I’d at least like some kind of softclaim from Awesome, as I’ve already limited my claim substantially. We can sort things out from there.

Soft claiming won’t matter. One of you is dying so the full claim helps. Anti claim don’t matter if you are dead and we are wrong.

i still don’t think claiming your role triggers it. It’s why I didn’t say my character. At least looking at past anti claim mechs

I disagree that softclaiming is useless when we literally know nothing about Awesome’s role, and we don’t know how the anti-claim mechanic works this game, so I think we should be as minimalist as possible when it comes to getting claims, especially this early.

If the choice of lynch is just Awesome or me and the only way we have to determine which gets it is to full claim, then I’ll do it and we can get this over with. I’m just not convinced we’re there yet.

I get that. I'd prefer that only one of us has to claim, but as I said, if there is no other choice, I'll full claim and make this decision easy.

On the one hand I don't think Awesome is scum due to his soft about the mason/hood very early on and then Airmax's full claim. One the other hand this means that his flips will hold a huge amount of info when it comes to Max's affiliation. The only way I see him being scum is if Max is also scum. I'd like the people voting him while townreading Max to explain something:

1. Awesome softs that there is likely a mason/hood in the game very early on. This implies that it is mentioned in the PM
2. If he is scum he is either scum alongside said recruiting role or he has a role that fucks with a town mason/hood
3. If the former is true, he is in a scum team with Max
4. If the latter is true, then why give away that you have such a role to town for no reason?

I just don't think the idea that Scum Awesome/Town Max makes sense and I'd really like people to explain to me how it does. Here's the post in question, #26:
