If you were ascetic wouldn't you be immune from all night actions including recruting attempts and contracts? This directly contradicts your earlier statement stating you got a contract request

Post #24 whiteflame admits to receiving and declining the contract offer. This is completely contradictory to their ascetic claim. By definition ascetics are immune to all non-lethal night actions which would include recrutiment attempts. I asked about that. It affects any role that targets me specifically. Thoth said the contract offer functions differently. That confused me when I thought I was the only one that received it.

To be clear: I had a hidden ability that was made clear on my role card. This hidden ability was revealed to me on N1 and that was the revealing characters. There was another hidden ability that could have been unlocked if the contract went through. I do not know what that hidden ability would have been. I'm sorry for not making it clearer

if I was redirected to Mharm then yes. Someone visited him other than myself. I could have saw supa since he redirected me so not sure how that works.

What do your results tell you? Does it tell you who visited them and what actions they did or just that someone visited them?

It tells him if his target was visited but not by who, equivalent to the usefulness of a blind man who can't describe the intruder but definitely felt the movement of air as someone passed.

Wiki says Inspectors don't know what action was taken either.

I asked Thoth if being an ascetic would stop someone from getting that recruit offer and he said no. Any of you can ask as well. This makes me townread Whiteflame more, as that would be a retarded thing to fakeclaim as scum.

I'm just ready to lynch Kohai at this point. The lying about whether he accepted, flailing around trying to direct the lynch onto anyone but himself, in ways which were inconsistent with his own actions (scum reading me for accepting the offer while he did so as well and only came out with that fact later on). I'm tired, boss. Everyone else has been consistent. I don't want to claim today, I can do so tomorrow.

Considering one of them would be a net detriment to town in a game with anti-claim mechanics, the number of hidden abilities isn't really the problem. It's more the fact that he didn't mention he had a hidden ability when we were told last DP that PMs would mention if you had one. It struck me as odd that he wouldn't have put the pieces together given he would have seen that.

Others should know if they have one based on their PM. All the hidden abilities definitely make things more complicated.

It's possible someone else visited Mharman, but we do at least have one other person who did given the redirect.

Alright, that clarifies it. So it's basically a 1-way Motion Detector focused only on whether your target is visited by others.

Seems you both got confirmation that my role wouldn't affect the recruitment. I appreciate that Thoth is answering questions like this, since I didn't really get it either.

As for the vote, I can see the case against both of you. I'd prefer to get Rex's claim sooner rather than later, but with 3 full claims and a partial claim on the table, it may make more sense to wait until next DP to get it. We don't know if there are any lingering anti-claim mechanics still in play. Regardless, I'll make my decision tonight, want to go back through both your posts before I do.
