Barry Mafia - DP1 | Mafia

Welcome to Barry Mafia! I've loved this show ever since it started airing and it's nice to get a theme that really fits into mafia so well, especially given how various mobs feature in this show. Huge thank you to @Mag1cman for helping me design this game, stepped in and really helped with the balancing.

To answer some of the obvious questions:

There is a theme split.
Scum can to ask two questions. Those can break out to two roles, two characters, or one of each.
I have not directly included anti-claim mechanics, though there may be other costs to claiming.
As usual, I will attempt to keep up with the DP to the best of my ability and respond to both public and private questions (with limitations).

The usual rules:

1) No editing or deleting posts of any kinds

2) No copy/pasting your role PM (please paraphrase)

3) No cryptography of any kind

4) No communication outside of the mafia game

5) No liking/upvoting posts after you die

6) No using ChatGPT/AI to paraphrase your PM

I'll add extra rules as needed.

All DPs will be 72 hours and NPs 24 hours unless the NP ends with everyone submitting actions earlier.

Hm hm hm, going to be interesting to navigate around a cast I mostly don't know.

In any case, I'm hard-claiming a negative utility role that affects investigations. I can elaborate further if necessary, but would rather hold back on specifics for now.

My hot take of the hour is that you might not want to publicize a list of characters that are "almost guaranteed" to be in the game because there's a reasonable chance that at least one "obvious" character is going to not be included in order to create claim space.

At least, that would be my guess. Seems a likely outcome of allowing questions rather than giving fake claims to scum outright.

I think he meant that his elaboration was "Useful" with a capital U to show irony. He claimed a negative utility role that interferes with investigations, so probably Miller or Gravedigger.

I would not say that I like being 3P overall, but one thing I do like is the lack of shared responsibility. If I fuck up, my teammates can't blame me for making them lose because I have no teammates.

Mild disagree. If an obvious character were left out, how would scum know which one? Unless they had more information to work off than the answers to their questions, they would most likely ask about a character that is in the game. Sheer probability.
