I think we should be consistent with what we soft claim

Three of us have already made unique soft claims; adding another soft that we all participate in only narrows down who those three could possibly be while leaving the rest with a higher degree of anonymity. I'd like to hear what your proposal for the mass soft claim would be first.

I don’t have an idea, which is why I asked Ceru and Luna. I’m honestly just tired of being forced to look into themes I know nothing about. Like I genuinely don’t remember the last time I played a game where I knew the theme. I’ll look into it tonight, at a Christmas party right now

I don’t think this strategy is effective though. You could just be vague like my guy is a criminal and it would encompass everyone. It’s hard to do POE if the baseline is different

Actually saying that you guy is a criminal is a good soft claim and narrows down quite a bit of the theme in this. I can easily eliminate half of my list of potential characters if you were to soft this.

Ceru’s claim can be tested tonight.

What's the point. If he's town it would show he visited the NK target and if he's scum it would show he visited the NK target.

I'd be happy with putting pressure on any of the inactives. For now I'm putting aside anyone who was willing to soft, which is a small pile, and looking at people who don't want to soft or are just being silent, which is too many people.

Rex, Vader, and Shining are succeeding at giving me not much behavioral info, so they'd be my POE for lack of anything better to go on. Thoth feels weird to me this DP as well, but it's just a vague vibe.

Everyone has been lurking and the game has been a bit of a slog. I did think to check up on your recent games, but I haven't seen anything much that stood out in my mind. Honestly I don't like Cerulean's claim. I was gonna lynch him anyway, but his claim put a bad taste in my mouth. I don't get why he outed his role.

As for your question about whether its a waste, I'll admit I'll probably have to defer to you, but you do make assumptions. Doubt there is a Godfather though, unless Town has some role to counter this or mafia is just weak.

Honestly the biggest issue I had with your claim is that you didn’t just full SOP it up front. Why wait until later to do a full claim?

Wryly has a writing style that I enjoy. Going to be annoying to read for alignment.

I don't have a lot of time at the moment, but my Town looks something like Pie, Wryly, Lunatic right now. The first two, I think they have been advancing the game when scum could be kicking back and relaxing a bit, and I believe Lunatic softed his character and I angleshoot Post #103 as something that would have been asked in scum chat.

Granted, Pie (and maybe Wryly?) presumably has an expectation to fulfill regarding activity, I assume. Still, I think Pie would be pushing for me with a smidge more force if he was wolfing and I was meant to be today's mischop.

Why wait until later to do a full claim?

I had a hopeless dream that my role supports the existence of a Watcher/Lookout/Stalker so if one were to claim I would be able to back it up essentially.

Which is a bit silly, I suppose, but a man can dream.

My main reasoning here is that it's very easy to have a thought of "This day is quiet, that sucks" and say that out loud, but it's another thing to actually do something about it and push game into a different state. And knowing that I'm Town, pushing the game out of the state of "idk Ceru is policy chop" is a townsided move.

It's admittedly a bit self-centered, but there's not a whole lot to go off beyond that at the moment.

Kohai feels like a bit of a question mark because there is a town motive to do what they did- deciding that even though you have a townread, they wouldn't be a huge loss even if they were really Town. But there's also a scum motive of "Oh well it looks like Town is settling on this so I'll join in to nudge it a bit more."

The thing is, would scum just have their partner do it so that if I got lynched, Kohai could ride a bit of "see, I told you" cred? The flip-flop is very noticeable and easy to call out, considering me, Pie, and Lunatic all did so.

Pie - Active, contributing to discussion, don't like that he hasn't softed but eh. Town pile for now.

Ceru - Either SOP'd or took a really big risk as scum. I don't want to lynch him just because we suck this DP. Town pile for now.

Luna - First to soft claim and suggest we each do a unique soft claim. Town pile for now.

Kohai - Null. Good amount of activity. Did soft claim a bit. Has flip-flopped on his reads but that's pretty normal for him.

Thoth, Rex, Vader - Only active in the beginning of the DP and silent now that it's waning. No soft claims. Unresponsive to @'s. Honestly I'm ready to just take a shot in the dark between them.

Shining - Hasn't posted much. No reads. Hasn't softed. I'll throw him in the POE as well.

The claim bothers me because if hes town, I feel like he shouldn't volunteer information to mafia. I suppose he (naturally) wants to save himself, but I really don't see that. He did allude to not liking your policy lynches, but he really made no attempt to push attention off of him.

Did you have even two votes on you when you full claimed? I would expect you to at least resist giving mafia information. Its fine if its like 36 hours left in the day and you have 4 votes on you, but there was a good chance the day will end with a NL anyway. Did you weigh the chance the day would end without your claim? And, if you don't mind, I'll anticipate that you might say something like that nothing damaging to town was revealed, but if thats the case, why did you act like you had to withhold information when you first made your SOP claim at the beginning of the day?
