Even if Christ descended from Heaven and asks Pie to soft/claim, he would still refuse. Pie always gets a stick up his ass regarding his claims.

By conditioning town to believe a soft can never be gotten from him, he creates an effective screen for refusing to soft when he is scum. It's a good policy.

The biggest scum tell for pie is twisting people's words and trying to make it sound like they're saying something they're not.

Can't believe I'm townreading Kohai again. At this point I'm just going to boldly ask if there is a conspiracy among the mods to never make him scum.

Yeah I'm a new-ish player and idk what Turbos are, but in the last game I played with Pie, he was scum, refused to soft, and basically successfully threw a lot of suspicion around at others while not posting a scrap of a claim until DP3 after he had NK'd the investigator.

The case for a town lean on Kohai is that SOPing hated is a risky claim for scum since you're in danger of being the default lynch. If town fails to gain any sus traction on anyone else they're tempted to lynch the guy who had a low-value role anyway.

On MU these are hyper speed mafia games with 18 minute day phases and 6 minute night phases. These games are usually over in under an hr or so.

Him FOSing others while cannily refusing to soft claim was an early point of suspicion for me last game when he was scum, and I failed to press him on it. Give me at least a definitive soft.

Im allergic to claiming anything. If people want more specifics. Get the support of 4 more people.

I fell the exact same way about people randomly seeking claims DP1. I think it's anti-town, lazy play. I punish it by forcing them to lynch me without claiming.

Just cause you think it’s random doesn’t mean you shouldn’t claim. People want you to claim for explained reasons and it’s guaranteed at L-1 that some townie think you’re scummy and want your claim.

Why are you acting like I'm asking you to full claim. Just soft. Decision, event, or someone/something still leaves you with a broad cloak of options. I see no reason why there is any disadvantage to doing so, nor any advantage in refusing to do so, aside from not setting precedent of softing -- which only really aids your scum game imo

The whole point of softing is to increase credibility by nailing down at least a little detail of your role, something scum would be reluctant to do because they don't want to limit their fake claim choices at all too early. Even if they were given fake claims, they want more time to think of which roles should go with those characters and would be safe to claim, etc.

You haven’t played as scum with me lol. I have everything ready ASAP. Plan A, B, and C. And like you said + OP said. Justifications are pretty much meaningless. Saying I’m one of those 3 is adequate enough for me. If 4 people agree with you, I’ll narrow it down
