My understanding of 51 is that it’s his entire claim. People don’t usually say stuff like that without being able to back it up.

All that being said, we can't discount the possibility that scum already used their questions and have fake character claims nailed down that will look authentic. I have good reason to believe at least a couple of MAGA characters are in this game as characters Pie would include, but after that, thing will get tricky.

I find the Thoth post by Kohai to be suspicious - if he voted for Thoth before editgate and then comes out saying editgate is why he voted Thoth that is a bit suspicious.

the idea being that if his analysis of the events is correct, it’s highly scummy from Kohai and scum Rex mostly probably doesn’t shade this.

The point of DP1 is to generate lots of conversation then lynch someone. Chances are you're not going to hunt scum effectively with such a huge information asymmetry - the scum team will more often than not subtly move the lynch to a town target. So you try and create a DP1 that can be looked at in retrospect to analyze behavior. So I'd rather start a conversation about someone than just drive a hard lynch on them. And I'd rather have multiple lynch targets than just one. This creates more interactions to analyze during later DPs.

i am a bit suspicious of this claim because of the past controversy between your character and trump. even though it was technically patched up and you turned into a supporter of him later, recent news speculates your character is adverse to some of trumps tariff decisions as well as you supported tech companies that are against trump if i remember correctly. technically supported trump at one point in time but i don’t think of this as a “maga movement” type of person either

He was a major Trump ally for a long time. Definitely conservative and definitely not a RINO unlike some of the other well known Republican figures

ur character is a fair weather trump supporter in my opinion, but he definitely stands out from some of the other claims so far. i could be wrong on a few of the soft claims that i picked up on but i do know your character at one point was calling trump a liar constantly which stands out from characters that have been more staunch supporters. ur right tho we dont know the theme split so im just thinking out loud i just dont know if this is a character that really gets you out of suspicion either

So as regards this discussion, based on my character and others that I can nail down largely from the softed set, there seem to be two types of MAGA at play among the claims:

1. Those who have basically been in Trump's corner from the outset
2. Those who had major beef with Trump in the past, but have since gone full MAGA

I highly doubt that the theme split is between these two. I think town has both and scum have some non-MAGA or former MAGA characters for reasons I've already mentioned. It makes me wish I'd sought soft claims along these lines instead, but I think adding more details to our softclaims would be a big mistake at this point.

If I'm right about who Kohai is and he is actually town, then Magoroth is also likely town. Getting into the why of it would require me to out who I think their characters are, so unless we need to get into this to decide a lynch, I'll leave it at that.

As for who I think would be a better choice to pursue, I'm good with getting a full claim from Mag1c, Shining or REF. Mag1c's posts townreading Kohai have put him back in my null pile with the other two, so I have no preference in terms of how I'm reading them. In activity, however, only two of those have been recently active. So...

I have more pause on Rex. The version of events he gave is somewhat accurate- Kohai did vote for Thoth before Wylted pushed for policy on Thoth. But Kohai’s vote was a joke vote. It became serious after Wylted’s pushed to policy on Thoth. So it’s not damning discrepancy imo.

I will say that being so quick to join a policy, and staying after the mod has resolved the issue, is a bit concerning. I remember Shining was the only person to join me when I wanted to policy Thoth last game. But Kohai remains slight town in my book.

Back to Rex, his explanation for not voting is interesting- but you can still throw a vote at someone you sus and have a discussion. If anything, a vote forces people to react and discuss a bit more. So I still think he don’t generate discussion the right way. But the explanation he gave, somewhat gives me the impression that he really believes his theory behind not voting. So hmm.

There is a non-zero probability that DT and JD Vance are the scum team, but as I said earlier, I don't see why Pie would give them 4 questions if those were the scum team's actual characters. All they'd need to do is just claim their characters and hide in plain sight.

As it stands, I think I'd like Magoroth's full claim over anyone else. It's pretty obvious who he is and I have at least some reason to believe he would work with the theme split, but that doesn't mean he's lock town since scum probably has at least decent fake character claims from their questions. So that's where I'm putting my vote:
