If you are town what incentive does scum earth have to rolecop some who full claimed? And what incentive does he have in proving your claim right after you were a prime mislynch target? Him being scum doesn’t make a whole lot of sense from a strategical pov

I don’t know. If I’m scum his incentive is clear (if he is scum), you’re right he could just allow me to be mislynched if he was scum. Probably I would just lie back and wait if I was scum and wait for someone to mislynch Magoroth.

It was more that I didn’t understand Wylted’s flip flopping on me, but I guess I’m being retarded for questioning it; it is Towny to flip flop and wylted really hasn’t been especially scummy, by any means.

Sorry to make you repeat yourself, busy and hadn't fully caught up yet.

Tough decision because I had no idea who even had enough favor to be worth tracking, plus Mago had run around in circles waving a flaming torch and accusing everyone and their grandmother, so there were a wide range of possible scum who would be on their guard, but Mikal had said several of his roles overlap with Mago's and I decided to investigate that soft CC, and I figured Mago would probably be mislynched before the end of the game so why waste an investigative on him.

Did you suspect Mikal at all?

Yeah but it was vibes based. He was playing it almost a little *too* perfectly with Mago, while Mago was playing so badly I was leaning town.

My watcher ability was tied strictly speaking to the Empress Dowager (Mikal). Now that he’s dead, it’s been disabled.

I have a passive called Perceptive that activates at Imperial Noble level. It lets me see which roles target me in a given night. This sounds identical to the passive Shining is describing, although he's claiming he had immediate access to it in addition to Rolecop, which would mean he would have to have started with high favor or be the Empress.

We also have an explosion of claimed town investigatives (Watcher, Tracker, Cop, Rolecop) which now makes me suspect Rolecop is either a fake claim or a scum power being straight claimed for favor.

In addition we have the inconsistency that Shining is claiming a visit from a Shadow Poisoner but Magoroth is the one who claims he was poisoned.

I don't claim to know why Shining would town confirm Mago as scum but I also don't see a world where Rex hands out two of the same role.

Before I went to sleep last night, I asked REF about the message someone would receive if they were Vanillaized. He said something like you are vanilla now. So he definitely wasn’t vanillaized. Now for the poison — it could be a gambit to survive the 2 DPs. Cause why would Town lynch someone who is already on the deathbed basically. And then later he claims he was cured or something magical happened.

He and Shining would have to have tied themselves together with this Rolecop claim and I don't see them being quite that obvious about that. Couple that with the Poisoning/Vanillaizing (seems over the top for providing himself with cover if that's what he's doing) and I just don't see him pulling all this as scum.

I disagree. Mago had already revealed his roles yesterday as RB, Watcher, Vengeful. He could’ve just restated what Mago said. I’d wager there’s one scum in between them. I don’t think they both can be scum.

Honestly, Mago is acting like a schizo, so while policy lynching a huge mislynch target DP1 just for the information and removal of liability. I played with a lot of erratic people before. Its NAI, and I have a gut read on Mago.

I targeted Magoroth because he was constantly lying and pushing a mass claim. I investigated him so that I either catch him in a lie or I at least confirm his roles so we don't end up barking up the wrong tree like we usually do.

Apologies for my lack of activity today, I'm still getting my thoughts together on the DP.

The player that stands out the most to me, both behaviorally and due to a lack of interaction, is Awesome. I'd like to change that and do it early enough that we can act upon it without it feeling like a last minute decision. We're less than 24 hours into this DP, plenty of time to contribute.

We have pretty good reason to townread Shining so far, chiefly on the basis of his Rolecop target and info, though this does look like a CC. You've each got a different label for the role and, at least insofar as how he's described it, it seems pretty clear both of these are passive. So yeah, they seem pretty similar.

The number of investigatives definitely stands out, a lot of pseudo-CCs. I'm trying to put this in the context of access through favor, though even then, it seems like a lot. Having two be apparently accessible NP1 and potentially (assuming the Watcher is real and possible to use - doesn't seem like it from what Magoroth said) two different investigatives on NP2 seems like a lot.

I've never heard of the role, but it's an odd thing to fake and even odder that it worked out this way.
