Yeah see. This is what I don’t understand. Why does this role cop check on me change people’s read on me? I don’t get it. I don’t understand why I was scumread before and now I don’t understand why I am townread.

I agree with ILikePie5 that shining claiming here is a little sus, it kinda feels like it wasn’t really necessary? I don’t think anyone was actually doubting my claim

I'm Consort Shu, a spy the Empress Dowager sends into the Emperor's harem -- though she simps for him like a newb -- and my powers are thus spy-oriented but Empress Dowager contingent. So I get an odd night Tracker, but only if the Empress Dowager is alive do I receive any results from it, and I get a 1x even night Cypher at Noble Consort level that enables communication between the Emperor and Empress Dowager.

Since my roles were made useless by Mikal's death, my game plan -- until Mago started wagging his tongue -- was to out myself as the Tracker but withhold that my powers were defunct in hopes that scum would waste some redirectors/roleblockers or an NK on me (had no real hopes I'd gain enough favor for my Perceptive to ever activate). But first Magoroth started telling everyfuckingbody that his Watcher had lost its power with Mikal's NK and then Shining reported a power identical to mine, so. Fuck it. I guess I spill my purse and now scum knows two of our investigatives were neutered.

If Rex did give both me and Shining such similar passives, I'mma be mad. That's all our investigatives outed now. Really hate the way this is going.

Agree. Both our characters are placed in the harem by the Empress Dowager so it makes sense that his Watcher works the same as my Tracker, and I received a similar message to his NP1: your Tracker ability has lost its power.

Favor and town cred? They poison Mago, Shining town confirms him, and then Mago dies from poison, flips town, confirms Shining's rolecop results, and Shining ends up looking pretty good.

I think I mentioned earlier that he could be using it for towncred, just seems like a round-about way to do it. Certainly not out of the realm of possibility.

But I have lingering questions: why does scum Shining say the Shadow Poisoner visited him, and why does scum Shining fake claim a passive like that when Rex handed scum fake role cards that were perfectly safe to claim? Also, why did scum poison Mago at all? He's an easy mislynch target, why waste poison on him.

He seems to have some idea of how the Shadow Poisoner could work, might be using that towards the same end as above to get some towncred. It's not the simplest way to go about it, but assuming he's right about how it works, scum couldn't inflict the poison directly with that method so it would give him cover from being the actual Poisoner. Poisoning someone still does make sense, just a question of why Mago specifically.

As for the passive, that much I can't say. It does seem like an odd mistake to make if he is scum.

So your Tracker is linked to the Empress Dowager? Odd that Mikal's flip doesn't mention anything about an Enabler, but I guess that's inherent to your claim, not his. As for the Cypher, would this communication be for one night or continuous? I've never heard of a role that established external communication for other players, so that's a new one.

So double investigative then? Wylted's claimed Miller means there's an alignment investigative role, so a Cop would make sense. And I believe you mentioned that you're the Empress as well, which would make sense of you having access to your passive role so early.

I am not ready to share it yet, but something you said strangely makes me town read you, where it would probably make someone like pie scum read you. I am a bit of a conspiracy theorist about some things though, and I at the very least don't see you lying but I will need to mull this over and decide if anything is worth outing here.

I think he's likely town, just don't buy that this is all a gambit from him and the removal of his Watcher apparently coincided with Wryly's lost Tracker when Mikal died. Lends him more support.

Strangely no one has claimed a character with any of the roles so far except for Magoroth.

Is he an easy mislynch though? Everyone was on at the end of the day phase, and enough people town read him when we had the most active players possible in the game that we couldn't lynch him. Honestly made me go into the night phase even more suspicious of him since scum may hesitant to board that wagon, unless the scum is exactly pie, wylted and banana and I am not so sure of that. If they thought he was never going to be lynched though or it would look bad for them to lynch him, it might be better to poison him since letting him into lylo with that vengeful role could be game ending for them. The poison also just lets them keep a chaotic townie alive to muddy the waters of the day phase as well. I don't think poisoning Mago was a bad move from scum, actually it was lowkey big brained.
