When does it ever? If I live the natural instinct for everyone is that Pie is scum. It’s annoying af

I was actually town reading you hard dp1 and the beginning of this day phase, but the POE pool plus some of your pressure targets have made me question that read.

Wym? He claimed Role Cop and is outted as Empress. And she did pressure him. Until he outted that he was the Cop as well and then she backed off immediately

I am talking about the self watching passive that she claimed, that was after shining already claimed it. What is the strategy behind doing that since she is no longer pressuring him by then?

What are your thoughts and reads on the following players:

Banana, Thoth, Whiteflame?

Banana: She’s done the bare minimum basically. Not much to read about her. Part of POE right now for sure

Thoth: He’s null too. Not many posts. The posts he does have are mainly fluff, which is usually a scum read for me, but I think I’ve been burned on that before with him.

Whiteflame: Gut says he’s town read. He has a scumtell that I picked up on in a previous game. He had the opportunity to do the tell, but he didn’t, so that’s also a plus for him

What do you think you have done as town this game that should set you apart as exceptionally townie, or more townie than others?

Honestly, I’ve been struggling to even keep up. I’ve been so busy at work cause of my new role. I’ve been working basically 7 days a week. But to answer your question, compared to some other people I’ve been more active, been analyzing interactions and motives as much as I can. I think the POE has put us in a really good spot

Any reason you didn't hit wylted as hard with your normal miller suspicion policy? Outside of positing that it could be a potential fake claim, and asking for a character and justification (that we never got and you never really pushed for) you seemed more or less okay with the miller claim this go around. 

Two things:

1) I’ve genuinely been busy at work, otherwise I would’ve put more pressure in that area

2) Mago was so scummy it hurt. I put whatever activity I had into that lynch.

True he is a notorious fluff poster as either affiliation, however looking at his scum and town games, his activity and interest seems higher when he is town, and he seems to be more invested. If he is scum, hes been allowed to skate because the attention has largely been focused on a few people. It's very interesting. If he is town, I think he's having an off game.

Here’s the issue. Shining says the Poisoner visited him. Mago is saying the Poisoner visited him. If both are town, we’re missing a very important piece of puzzle.

If someone redirected the poisoner, Shining would see a visit but Magoroth would be poisoned.

Did Magoroth have the poisoner visit him, or was he poisoned?

Yes he can, but he has to appoint a Townie. The double vote can make scum win sooner than they normally would. You definitely did your part on Mago.

At this point I'm townreading Shining. Wylted's claim supports his role and no one is CCing his Empress claim. I'm totally baffled by the similar passives. If I'm townreading Shining I kind of have to townread Wylted as well.

Pie and whiteflame are null to me, with Pie being null-by-suswest. No one will know what I mean by that, I don't know why I said it. Based on his reads and analysis I think I'm townreading Lunatic. Mago I've already decided was town.

So that leaves Banana, awesome5000, Thoth, with Pie and whiteflame in the maybe's.

Mago I was town reading based on the rolecop as well as being poisoned, my own role pm mentions a poisoner so we know one to exist. No one else has been poisoned.

Shining and your role kind of sound like two sides of the same coin, your role is confirmed at least with the visit from mikal to wylted. Plus shining claimed empress, not that we know empress is town, but it helps.

You I am townreading based on your role logistics, as well as something you said last night but admittedly there is a lot of conspiracy and game theory that goes into the thing I am town reading you for.

Wylted either is town or has a really strong fake role claim from the mod, because shinings cop makes it likely for a miller to exist. I suppose that isn't the hardest evidence to town read him but it makes him a better option than others at the very least, plus behaviorally I don't feel like he''s been super oppertunistic or really trying to seek mislynches... yet at least. On the flipside I will see that town wylted usually displays more confidence, but I did get that vibe from him when he reaction tested magoroth, he just kind of dropped in activity after that so its made me reconsider a bit. Still overall lean town here, and the early miller claim helps. Someone mentioned that there is usually millers in all games, so its kind of rare to see a game without them nowadays, so again if he is scum its likely a solid fake claim. But the way he described the favor mechanic playing into it kind of makes sense.

That leaves thoth who has been pretty inactive and not contributing much over the last bit of the game. Last night he promised to catch up and post and proceeded to do absolutely nothing.

Awesome has not done much of anything either, but I am really banking on him being replaced. It helps that he confirmed he gave favor though for now, but he is still POE.

Pie has had no claims and his play feels a lot different than his normal town style, IE not pressuring the miller very hard at all like he normally does, almost seeming to buy it immediately. He's largely focused on pressuring people he probably assumes are "easy lynch targets", you, shining, magoroth. Not that is reasoning is really bad, but I do find it strange that he doesn't seem to be focusing on other people, say Banana, Thoth, whiteflame, myself etc. He has barely said anything about these people. I know pie has been a lot busier at work so I am trying to take that into account as well, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't notice a difference in his play this game.

Whiteflame has been kind of center of the road the whole game, not really posting things that give a strong indicator of having opinions that demonstrate he leans a certain way. He seems like he is being reasonable with his reads and opinions, which isn't out of character for him, but I also kind of expect a town whiteflame to be slightly more decisive and push in literally any direction. I was suprised about the no lynch he opted into on dp1, but then he hasn't really been advocating a direction in this day phase either. I get the vibe the scum team is kind of waiting patiently like a pack of hyenas to see what mislynch oppertunities arrive before we see a sudden surge of activity from some of these players.

Banana hasn't really done a ton either, and other than a late bandwagon on mago last day phase, I don't have a lot to indicate she is town either. She is probably my most null read so far, but again I have been giving her a slight pass from pressure since she says she is confirmable. Again don't know how she will do that any time soon since there isn't a night phase tonight, so I don't wanna give her a two day phase long pass here, but she is largely an unknown entity thus far.

I am not really talking about general activity as in a lot of posts, more so the content of the posts. No offense but when I was scum with you in Rex's last game your posts in general felt like they had less substance to them, kind of like they do here. Again you seem to be more of a neurotic thought poster as town, and just kind of post whatever thought comes into your head without any sense of paranoia about the way you come off. I get the vibe as scum you are a lot more worried about that stuff. You asked me about the leprechaun claim multiple times before you claimed it for example, even though you yolo'd it in the end, I would say I had the impression that you felt like you didn't want to make any major mistakes and were trying to be more careful in general up until the point the pressure caught up to you and forced your hand.

You've got me there. The reason I prefer playing scum over playing town is the adrenaline rush of not scumslipping.

I agree that my behavior is unlike other games I was town, but it’s just due to the sheer amount of work I have. This is WIFOM but as scum, I would ensure my behavior does not deviate from my town meta

Not exactly a first for me to opt for a NL on day 1, especially given that the focus was on someone I couldn't get a good feel on (and apparently for good reason) with Magoroth. Still, fully admit I've been largely absent this DP. I'll post a set of reads before I call it a night. I agree with what you posted earlier about needing to at least start solidifying around a lynch before tomorrow since the Super Bowl will likely dominate the day.
