Both scum are in Pie/Rex/Lunatic/Whiteflame, 100%.

I can see pairing arguments for Pie-Whiteflame, Pie-Rex, and Whiteflame-Lunatic.

Rex-Lunatic could be unpaired. It could be a distancing, but given the situation I’d say 80-20 Lunatic and Rex are unpaired because Lunatic doesn’t need to for Rex if he’s scum, he can just go for me. So he doesn’t need to distance at this moment. And of he’s speculating some negative consequences for pushing me down the line, he would stop Rex from pushing me. So the lack of narrative collusion + Lunatoc sussing Whiteflame + possible opportunity to go for me = strong unpairing argument.

I don’t really see a pairing argument for Pie and Lunatic. I haven’t seen one press the other so lower odds of unpairing. , but it’s better than nothing, so it has some merit.

Rex-Whiteflame, idk

Lunatic-Whiteflame has a pairing argument but it’s small. Basically the idea is fencesitting + opportunism, with Lunatic being quicker to end his fencesitting. I played a scum game with Thoth where I was the aggressive one and Thoth sat back a little bit more.

Lunatic going out of his way to argue against Pie’s narrative has some merit, but I’ve had games where I’d refute my scum partner and then push someone else.

a little more difficult but possible for Lunatic to be a fence sitter and then flip a switch and start pushes. I’ve done it as scum. Although it does help his defense.

Keeping my vote on Pie. I just do not buy he is town whatsoever.

Not only is he opportunistic with his activity, and his pushes, not only is his logic completely horrendous and he is the #1 person who should know better, but he’s got some strong pairing arguments.

Make no mistake, scum was always going to be invested in me since the night phase began and they realized they could form a plan around my mistake from last DP.

I could almost put Pie-Lunatic in the same territory as Lunatic-Whiteflame off that DP2 start. Hm. but that’s still not one of the strongest pairings.

I’m kinda of at an impasse with Lunatic. I think there’s things independently scummy about him, but the pairings aren’t exactly the strongest. Am I wrong on what I think is scummy on Lunatic, or am I underestimating the pairings he could have with some other people?
