Alright, I'm caught up.

The long and short of it is that I agree with Luna: I think it's more likely than not that you are both town. It's not that either of you cannot be scum, but I just don't see either of you playing this way as scum. At minimum, I don't think you draw this much attention to yourselves this DP, and in that respect, I'd say that Mag1c looks a bit more townie than Pie (frankly, I think he would have let some of this shit rest at this point if he was scum, especially since Pie's argument hasn't exactly been reeling in a lot of agreement, more just confusion and uncertainty). I can't entirely drop the possibility that this is all a very elaborate ruse by Mag1c to try and get a lynch and make it look like a genuine mistake, but if he's putting on a show, hat's off.

Pie's a little trickier, if only because I think whatever he's going for here makes less sense, both based on Mag1c's recent behavior as scum (he's much more careful than this and wouldn't commit to a convoluted plan along these lines) and based on some inferences I'm taking from what he's said about his PM, which I haven't seen Pie mention. It would not be a first for Pie to tunnel like this as town, nor would it be a first for him to push this hard as scum to get what may initially look like an easy lynch. I get the feeling it's more of the former and that scum Pie would have dropped this at this point, but given his recent absence, it's going to be harder to make a call on that.

So I'd say I have a slight townread on Pie, and a town lean on Mag1c, but it's not just about my perspective. I think we need to make an active choice here: either put a pin in this and move onto someone else, or get both claims since both sides are pretty entrenched on this. I'm not sure if Mag1c is still down for it, but if he is, then getting a mutual full claim would be a good start since I don't think this is going away even if we do pursue someone else.

As for who else to pursue, I can't say I see any reason to push Luna at this point. His logic has made more sense to me than anything else coming out in this DP, and I just don't think he refuses to take sides on this argument as scum. I don't see good reason to push Thoth, either. Again, if Link was scum in this game, there would be no reason for Kohai to suggest that he might modkill players who flavor claim. I cannot make sense of that.

So that leaves Wylted, Rex and Magoroth, all of whom are null to me at this point. I'm good with getting a claim from at least one of them as well.

I also don’t trust Whiteflame. Whiteflame makes these points that are so damn divorced from the game. Like... they’re not opinions, I don’t know how to put it. It’s just analysis. No gut feeling whatsoever.

I think the most likely pairing of mago scum is magic or lunatic. Maybe whiteflame

One of the reasons I started to sus Magic was because I found the way the wagons shifted at the end of last DP weird. Mago was originally widely scumread compared to other players due to his bizarre claim, then the wagon formed on Thoth. The attempt to start a wagon on Luna seemed very forced and random, almost like the people doing it didn't want the wagon to default to the other player who was on the chopping block earlier (Mago). So, they were trying to make Luna the 'backup' wagon instead, as he said he wouldn't be here at the end of the DP. When that didn't stick, and Thoth claimed Link, I think the scum team panicked. Didn't want the wagon to default to Mago, didn't think they could pull off the Luna wagon that they floated, so did the "oopsies, read my PM wrong 'accidentally on purpose' hammer" became the optimal play. Magic surmised (it seems correctly, unfortunately) that he could get away with this my pulling the same thing Mikal did and wifoming it into 'would scum be so brazen as to do something like that?'. Ironically, if we don't lynch him, we prove that yes, scum can be that brazen and get away with it scott free. In fact, they can expect to be townread over fake CCing and lynching the protagonist of the series once he claims at L-1. This is why my current operating theory is a Magic/Mago scum team, as he's done absolutely nothing to dispel this notion aside from wifoming, omgussing, and refusing to entertain the possibility that his surmised partner is scum.

I am gonna need you to explain this one in explicit detail. Divorced from the game? Whiteflame has had some of the most solid takes and opinions and clear musings of any one in the game in my personal opinion and I agree with his POE 100%.

I’m NOT saying scum has no incentive to hammer Link, I AM saying scum has no incentive to do such weird CC shit, WHEN they had an easy alternative to simply appeal to low time and hammer off that, BEFORE Thoth could even claim. INSTEAD, I pinged him so he could claim.

Anyone can check the thread. Before I re-entered the thread on low time, I was questioning Thoth and had moved him out of my town block. Upon re-entering the thread, instead of appealing to low time and hammering Thoth, I observed the situation, moved him back into my town pile, and then started pushing for lynches on Pie and Lunatic, only hammering Thoth in my own confusion about my PM after he claimed.

Again, at the end of the day, you have no way around the fact that I could've re-entered the thread, been all like "yup Thoth isn't in my town pile anymore and it's low time so let's just hammer right here," but I didn't.

And again, this would've been BEFORE Thoth entered the thread to claim. So his Link claim isn't even relevant for how you look at me here.

I find it interesting that you can’t refute or pick out something specific he is saying and keep making broad observations about his posting style, which I find to be completely untrue. He packed a lot in his most recent post, including his stance on multiple players and he even laid out a solid POE pile of people to lynch out of, none of which are “easy” lynch opportunities.
