The VTNL plan is to VTNL for multiple days quickly so we can enable power roles then use them, not just VTNL DP1.

And what do you mean by "just yet"?

Mestari would be right I think if Kohai was a guild leader, or even me. But Luna and Wylted tend to not have wagons build on them DP1 so that lessens the impact a bit. Still I personally would have kept that card up my sleeve to hit them with in later DPs but its not the end of the world.

I do kind of see Mestari's logic, but I don't think repeated VTNLs are worth denying ourselves the information from flips.

I explicitly believe that enabling power roles and having a night where both sides agree to use roles and not recruit is beneficial to the town. I have nothing more to say on the topic. I don't see how you don't get it.

Because there's more value to activating as many abilities as possible than hiding who has them. As we recruit more it becomes near certainly that mafia is in both guilds. Trying to hide recruits from the mafia assumes we only ever recruit town and risks both guilds recruiting the same player, activating less roles.

So can someone sum up Mestari's claim? He learns how many people moved and how many didn't each NP? Or only one NP? Has he used this shit yet?

He gets a total number of people who moved on a given NP, and apparently a second role where he can determine the total number of people who didn't move. Each is a 1X use, apparently unaffected by roles that would obscure movement like a Ninja. He hasn't said if he's used either yet, though given that no one has claimed to have recruited him and he said his character is himself, it's likely he hasn't had access to it.
